Answer:	The D5500 is also on a DX platform. It works on my D3300 (Dx), but the automatic focus functions are glitchy It will give you an extension of your lens, creating some decent macros at a minimal cost. Manual settings work best for me with this.

Answer:	I think so, as long as the tape format is the same, in this case media is the mini DV tape and format is AVI, uncompressed audio/video signal of the highest quality. mini DV tapes are used for this format as they have large memory, unlike memory cards, HD's etc which mostly use compressed format (say mp4 etc) and yet claim in some cases to be HQ recordings

Answer:	Uses mini DV tapes. Has an adapter that connects to the handycam with standard yellow, white, red plugs for video, audio lt, rt. Also has connections for USB (I assume 1.0 since the camera is so old, firewire (labeled as DV in/out, s-video, headphone, mic, and one labeled "lang" that I did not look up in the manual. I use it for filming swimmers underwater. I have an underwater camera on a pole, connect to the handycam with video input through the adapter, so really using the camera as a video recorder, then film starts with the camera itself, then show using the adpter and video output with a projector, use the handycam as a video player. I have also copied the tape contents to a computer using the DV (firewire) port, then edited and displayed to the swimmers using the Dartfish program. This is the only camera I found still available that could do all that, especially the video recorder/player functions.

Answer:	I believe the C or N would designate Canon or Nikon mount. C should fit all newer Canon EOS mounts and N would fit all Nikons.

Answer:	As near as I can tell, it depends on what camera you're shooting. If you're using a "current" nikon - D800, D810, D500, D7200 (these are the ones I've tried) NO, THEY WON'T AUTOFOCUS. Kenko has been telling me for well over a year, the every version "will now work" and so far NONE of them have - I have THREE SETS of Kenko extension tubes. They all work perfectly with a D300. NONE of them will autofocus my Nikon 70-200 on any of the bodies above. If you're shooting Canon, I don't know, but I presume they would work fine... At the moment, I've given up on Kenko and finally purchased a much cheaper set elsewhere that SO FAR, have worked fine and DO autofocus...

The DG Extension Tubes have no optics and are mounted in between the camera body and lens. They can be used singularly or together and the greater the overall length of the extension tube(s) used, the closer the lens can focus.

By placing distance between your camera body and lens, focusing distance is shortened and the magnifying effect of your subject is created. Macro tubes increase the lens-to-sensor distance, allowing for closer focusing than what is normally allowed by the lens itself. The greater the length of the extension tube, the closer the lens can focus. This means you can now get macro performance without needing to switch to a specialized lens and you will retain all the normal benefits of your optic when the macro function is not in use.



The camera mount coupling adapter and lens mount coupling adapter can be used independently of the extension tubes or you can add in the tubes for extreme macro photography. Answer:	Yes, that lens has a 52mm diameter. It's the same lens I use with it.Edit... I have the 50mm f/1.8D AF lens. Should still work though. It's the same thing as screwing a UV filter on.
Question:	Hi, will this work on the Minolta Maxxum series of autofocus lenses?? Those are the type of lenses i happen to have, not the fully manual MD/MC mount
Answer:	Nope. They do not have the electrical connectors for a motorized lens like those. Sorry this is only for the MD/MC mount style lenses

Answer:	Use extension tubes with a prime lens. Not so good with zooms. Best lenses are those with MANUAL f-stop rings, otherwise you can only shoot with the smallest aperture. You can indeed get way closer and shots will be very sharp.
