Question:	When fridge/freezer goes out of temp setting does alarm keep sounding until acknowledged
Answer:	When the alarm goes off, it gets annoying after awhile, so we have pressed the alarm button within 5 minutes to turn it off. I'm pretty sure it will sound until the temperature has returned within the set range or is turned off. Just be sure to press the alarm button again when the temperature is within the range you set, to reactivate the alarm mode.
Question:	What is the wireless range on this item
Answer:	I have mine set about 40 and 50 ft from receiver, both of which are transmitting through one exterior wall and 1 or 2 interior framed walls, with the receiver near mid point, and no problems after a couple of months. As others stated, the update is not immediate, so give it a while for the initial reading. Also, if you move the sensors, I found it helpful to take the batteries out of everything and start again - only takes a couple of minutes and gives some peace of mind. I think without heavily insulated walls, the range is probably more but have no proof.

Answer:	The correct reply is Yes, the display and the Sensor are "paired" like Blue Tooth devices. BUT, now for the bad news. Each time you replace the battery in ANY part of the system you need to perform the operation of "pairing" over again!!!Steps:1) Take all three parts, Display and both sensors and go away from the "other" sensors.2) Put fresh a battery in the Display and watch for NO Updates, takes a few moments to verify.3) Put a battery in each the sensors and watch for the "First" update to be correct.4) Leave these batteries in and walk back to the location needed.Now the new set will have a unique code and not read the "other" sensors values.The code is 32,000 values so yoiu can have MANY of these in the same place.NOTE: if you want a "copy" to be seen by Two Displays just PAIR both at the same place and time. They "Learn" from the first data point.

Answer:	We use rechargeable batteries so we are not buying batteries (and contributing to waste) all that often. I find the outdoor unit battery life depends on the temps; if it is cold the battery life is a bit shorter, if warm the battery life is longer. Cannot accurately give a length of time for battery life outdoors as our rechargeable batteries have been used for over 2 years and are just not beginning to show wear and not holding their charge as long. Even rechargeable batteries need to be replaced eventually. Indoor battery life is excellent, several months to one year

Answer:	I believe the manufacturer states 100m or approximately 300ft.My indoor sensor works great and my distance between my two buildings is 75-100 ft.I would guess that the outdoor sensor would have similar results
Question:	How accurate are the readings
Answer:	Looking at some of the previous responses, there seems to be a confusion between precision and accuracy. According to Acurite (the manufacturer), it is accurate to +/- 2F. The precision depends on the display, which is separate from this sensor. Most (if not all) Acurite displays only show whole numbers for temperature (e.g. 32F vs 32.6F). Further looking shows that the accuracy varies by temperature (this is normal for most measurements, even the most accurate ones). For example, from -40F to 32F, it is only accurate to +/- 4F, but from 68F to 75F, it is accurate to +/- 1F. Finally, some examples illustrating difference between accuracy and precision. A device that reads in tenths of a degree but has an accuracy of 4F might read 58.6F and seem very accurate to another device showing 55F. But if the latter is accurate to 1F, it is far more accurate. For example, if the temperature was actually 55.8F, the latter is within it's 1F tolerance and the former is also within its 4F tolerance, but the 55F of the latter is obviously more accurate. Answer:	I don’t know about 2020 version, but I’ve been running 4 units for a year and a half without problems. Need to make sure WiFi is near and fresh Duracell batteries. Batteries were low but still worked. One unit in refrigerator, one outside, one inside, and one in well pump house.
