Answer:	I use a teflon sheet and no you don't have to press too hard. I used to use my iron and this thing is AAAAAmazing!!! Time and heat control... no more guessing or over heating.

Answer:	Your iron may be greatly superior to mine...But the advantages that this heat press has over my iron are these: 1) I'm able set the exact temperature I need. (I didn't realize what a difference this would make!) 2) The heat press is HEAVY. I want a lightweight iron for ironing clothes, but want pressure (which weight provides) for heat transfer designs. 3) This heat press has a timer. I've been amazed how much better my work turns out when I'm a little more careful about the timing. These are the three major advantages I've found in using a heat press over my iron. To be truthful, any heat press probably delivers these. But the smaller, more compact size (even with the largest, the 12 x 10--which I purchased), and hence, easier storage when not in use...is what tipped the scales for me when choosing the Cricut over the other brands of heat presses. Answer:	Yes, Compost-It has over 60 different strains of aerobic and anaerobic as well as facultative microorganisms which will digest many different types and forms of waste. Keep in mind though, that septic systems do not like to be left for too long as the flow of material from septic to drain field is a natural part of the dynamic process. You may also consider the range of 'Septic Care' products Biomaster have to offer which may be more suitable to your situation and have specially selected waste and paper-eating bacteria and enzymes.
Question:	How much of this do I need for an 18 gallon tumbler
Answer:	Thanks for the question. The packet is sufficient for about 27 gallons, so if your tumbler was completely full it would equate to about two-thirds of the pack. Of course, if the tumbler is only filled half way it will be less.
Question:	The question does dried leaves ok for composting
Answer:	Hi there - thanks for your question. Yes dried leaves are fine, just make sure you mix them with other garden waste in order not to have a big lump of them together and also that the composting material is damp as warmth and moisture activate the break-down process. If the leaves are very large and thick, it is a good idea to chop them up smaller - running a lawn mower over them before adding to your compost does a great job!
Question:	If you sprinkle on the kitchen scrap bin when the bin is half full, do you water it in a little or just leave it on top dry
Answer:	Thanks for the question. Composting should always be kept damp (like a wrung out towel) not wet. This keeps the active ingredients working to break down the material in the bin or in the heap. Clever tip - if you are not ready to use the composted material, add it to the heap or bin you already have and it will keep populating that material to assist faster composting.

How to avoid stainless steel rust

1. If the stainless steel surface contains dust of other metal elements or attachment of dissimilar metal particles. In humid air, the condensed water between the attached material and the stainless steel connects the two into a micro battery, triggering an electrochemical reaction. The protective film is destroyed, which is called electrochemical corrosion.

2. The surface of the stainless steel adheres to the organic juice (such as melon, noodle soup, etc.), which will constitute an organic acid in the presence of water and oxygen, and the organic acid will corrode the metal surface.

3. The surface of the stainless steel adheres to acid, alkali, and salt substances (such as splash of alkaline water and lime water), will cause local corrosion.

4. In polluted air (such as the atmosphere containing a large amount of sulfide, carbon oxide, nitrogen oxide), sulfuric acid, nitric acid, acetic acid liquid spots will form in the condensed water, causing chemical corrosion.

5. Please take care to avoid the damp environment and avoid washing with steel balls and bleaching agents or abrasives.

All of these can cause the stainless steel surface protection film to corrode, then causing rust. Therefore, in order to ensure that the metal surface is bright and not rusted, we recommend:

1. Rinse with neutral cleaner. Dry them after washing.

2. Please do not scratch the surface with hard material such as steel scrubber.

3. Please store them in dry cool places and avoid direct sunlight.

4. Avoid placing foods which will produce acidic, alkaline element.

Answer:	Hi Michelle! Unfortunately no compost bin filters are actually compostable, including Simply Carbon compost bin filters. This is because compost bin filters are infused with fibrous polymers to keep the activated charcoal together, otherwise you would be left with a filter that crumbles into a powder! Note that different manufacturers use different polymers and that a higher quality filter will have a higher activated carbon to polymer ratio. Simply Carbon filters contain a much higher carbon content for maximum odor absorption, which is also why you should not rinse these filters as it washes away the carbon and may even stain your sink. They can also be used with the Worm Factory Standard composter. When used as instructed this kit contains enough materials for at least 8 composting trays. Bedding materials play an important role in reproduction rates and impact the manageability of the Worm Factory. They are essential for air space and moisture control. Bedding materials should compose at least 50% of the material you add to the feeding trays. The pumice and coconut coir prevent odors from forming in the Worm Factory360 and the Worm Factory Standard by providing carbon, without which the system would sour. They also keep the materials in the tray from packing tightly. This promotes increased air flow and free movement of the worms. Answer:	I would add another tray of the new refill kit and if only 1 level of soured mixture then I would take out. I would try to retrieve in of my worms out of it and then continue. However, if more than 1 level I think I would start over after retrieving worms. I would also make sure each item is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before starting again. Just my opinion though.
Question:	I misplaced the directions that came with the kit. Does anyone still have the start up directions that they can post
Answer:	I have them but am having a problem getting the copy here. So here is what it reads.1.Place the end of the brick of coir in a bowl. Pour 1 cup of water over the brick and let it soak until it begins to break apart. Crumble off the loosened coir equal to half the brick. Add more water if needed. Coir should be moist but not wet. Set aside the unused 1/2 brick of core to use later.2. Mix together the moistened Coir, 1/2 Pumice, 1 Tbsp. Glacial Rock Dust, a handful of your own shredded Paper.3. Use this mixture when starting a tray. Store the unused Coir, Pumice and Glacial Rock Dust to use later when adding your next tray.4. AFTER TRAY IS COMPLETE: Add about 6 tablespoons (two capfuls from the included jar) of Glacial Rock Dust to the top of your full top tray and stir it in a bit before adding a new tray.Hope it helps you.

Question:	Can anyone verify if the 32-gallon actually comes in a 50 pack? Last summer I bought them a few times but they only came with 4 rolls of ten
Answer:	I purchased this product twice. I didn't count the number of bags per roll but the first pack had 5 rolls. It seemed to me that the pack had at least 10 bags per roll. I purchased a second pack a few months ago and just counted that it has 5 rolls in the box. Again, I am NOT UNROLLING each of the 5 rolls to count the number of bags per roll. It appears to me that the whole box has at least 50 total bags

Answer:	I'm not sure if these bags are strong enough for yard clippings. My city allows us to put yard clippings directly into the container for organic waste. I use these bags for organic items like leftovers, compostible paper plates, napkins, and tissues. Hope this helps.
Question:	Hi. How many gallons does this hold
Answer:	The carton label says it is a 30 gallon size (30" x 39"). We use them in a wheeled compost container that is smaller than that. That way there is more than ample room left to tie the top of the bag securely. The bags come in other sizes, but these are the only ones we've used. We've been using them for about 2 years and are quite happy with them.
Question:	Are these bags 100% blank/green? I was hoping to get them minimal print on them. If there is a logo printed on it, is it small at least
Answer:	I personally love these bags. Yes, they do have some text on them. The name of the bags and compostable info is printed twice on each bag on the side and each area of print is 1.5"x7" in length and width...not very large (not small), yet there...The bags are actually a very pale pale green and sheer.I hope this helps...

Answer:	I believe they will fit. We have a under the sink garbage frame that we used to put grocery store bags on. There is a place to wrap the handles around. It just didn't work well These bags work great, if you put a hole in each side and use the frame to hold it in place.

Question:	Will it kill the worms in my compost
Answer:	It's 3 ft square at the bottom and has four lift doors which are about 12 inches. It seems to be a good size. I'm just beginning to compost, so I don't know if that will be sufficient when the compost is ready to harvest -- but it appears to be good. The only thing I wish it had was an attached top to make the disposal of scraps and yard waste in there a bit easier.
Question:	Does this work in cold weather? Have recently purchased but debating whether to apply it to large leave piles this cold fall or wait until spring
Answer:	I just lift the whole bin off the pile. It’s tapered and it pulls off easily. Then I use a pitchfork to put the contents back in the bin. It takes 5 to 10 minutes.
Question:	Does this have any animal maure in it
Answer:	Yes, it is open bottomed. Just place over the soil so worm can get in. We love these bins!
Question:	Does it really break down your compost faster/better (I live in a cool climate)? How much do you use
Answer:	I thought the tabs on the bottom were too short to securely anchor it, so instead of placing rocks on top, I use 6-inch long garden pins and they work perfectly. I was able to simply press them into the sodded ground hooking them over the bin's ledge under the four doors. Answer:	I would think close to a thousand
Question:	What quantity of worms should go in what size of compost bin
Answer:	Experts recommend 1 lb. of worms per square foot of surface area. So if your bin is 1 foot long by 1 foot wide = 1 square foot (forget about height), you would order 1 lb. of worms. If your bin is 2 feet long by 1.5 feet wide = 3 square feet, then order 3 lbs of worms. I'm not sure how to calculate weight by number of worms, i.e., I don't know the weight of 250 or 500 red wigglers. If any one else does, please share!
Question:	I noticed these worms are from PA. I live in Florida and I want to put them in my organic garden. Are they okay to use in Fl
Answer:	I too live in South West FL and my worms from here are doing wonderful in the worm farm. So much so that after 4 months I have place some in my raised herb beds and they are also doing just fine. You do have to keep the soil moist and I do add some compost to the soil as well.
Question:	Hello, I'm looking to keep these worms for food my axolotls. How would I store them so they stay alive
Answer:	Not sure about your orders but the worms were so tiny in my order my Axolotls would have to have eaten a dozen of them to make a real worm size. I binned mine so they could grow out for a few months in the mean time it's back to the store which I was trying to avoid during Corona.
