Answer:	Most of the breakers on your outlets are 15 amps, although you may have very few 20 amp breakers on certain circuits. That is the standard setup in American houses. OF COURSE it will blow a breaker if you exceed 15 amps, since this item is 10. It's mathematics, no uncertainty there. Anyone who tells you different is WRONG. That is not a drawback of the vacuum, of course. Any powerful vacuum will draw a lot of current. Some of the other people answering seem to be answering a DIFFERENT question from the one you asked. It's a mystery to me why they do that. Just be sure not to have 5 amps or more of other items drawing power at the same time. It's not too difficult. Small-power items are OK--just no big motors or heaters. For example, a 55 inch Samsung 4K TV uses only 109 watts, so that is roughly an amp. By contrast, an electric heater will draw 13 or more amps.

#1 Why is suction reduced after long-term use?

We recommend that customers clean the HEPA once a week to ensure the best working condition. If you find that the suction power can no longer be restored, you should replace the filters.

• Use an air compressor to blow away the dust and gently shake the filter as needed.
• Remove any debris with a clean, dry brush.
• Wash the Dacron filter bag with conventional detergent.

#3 Can I handle hot ash?

No. You should only handle cold ash. Even when the ash has been cooled for 24 hours, there may still be a risk of it catching alight again. DO NOT DO THAT. 

#4 How can you avoid the ash from blocking the hose?

Please pick out the larger embers and put those aside, then use the ash vac to clean the smaller dust.

Answer:	no ash or dust comes out the top vent but you will have to clean the filter and the cloth that wraps around the filter inside the canister periodically. otherwise it will clog up and won’t have the suction to vacuum the stove. i just use my air compressor every other time i clean my stove out. hope that helps

Answer:	You don't need a new filter once the first one gets dirty. I learned that from an HONEST mechanic in MN. He just used an air compressor and blew the dust and dirt from my air filter on the car. Why spend money you don't need to spend, just blow out the "dirty" one.

Answer:	no ash or dust comes out the top vent but you will have to clean the filter and the cloth that wraps around the filter inside the canister periodically. otherwise it will clog up and won’t have the suction to vacuum the stove. i just use my air compressor every other time i clean my stove out. hope that helps

Answer:	You don't need a new filter once the first one gets dirty. I learned that from an HONEST mechanic in MN. He just used an air compressor and blew the dust and dirt from my air filter on the car. Why spend money you don't need to spend, just blow out the "dirty" one.
Question:	Is this pretty loud when the vacuum is on
Answer:	Yes it is pretty noisy. The real issue though is that the vacuum barely sucks. I would not recommend this product.

Answer:	I looked up the shop-vac you listed to see if I could find the hose adapter dimensions, and they weren't listed. The ash vacuum kit accessories FIT onto the metal extension tube that comes with most ash vacuums. On the shop-vac you mentioned, I saw it does have a metal extension tube that looks identical to mine (PowerSmith Ash Vacuum). I imagine they are fairly standard and would be universal. If you already own the shop-vac 4041200, measure the outer diameter of the metal extension tube. If it measures 4" at the narrow end (where the fittings attach), then it is the same as mine, THUS would fit yours. The other option is that the shop-vac you mentioned has an accessories kit you can buy. The PowerSmith ash vacuum accessory kit was well worth my purchase, so I hope it is compatible with yours. Answer:	We use it to clean our pellet stove and it doesn’t spit out the cloud ash.

Answer:	This vacuum won’t suck ashes but for 15 seconds and it clogs and doesn’t work. I returned mine after one use. I don’t recommend it.
