Answer:	The plastic inserts are there to make the laces slide easier. I bough Great Laces 48" which are thicker and stronger to replace the original laces. I would call Five Ten to see if they will replace your boots

Answer:	This color was formerly called khaki by the military (especially British) with the light sandy brown colour now called khaki being distiguished as khaki drill. Khaki green is now more likely to be called olive drab in military usage.
Question:	How can i choose size
Answer:	I would say they are suitable are as long as you don't want a super light weight shoe. They are lighter and more flexible than a typical low top hiking shoe though. The insole is almost non-existent, so if you want more arch support, I'd suggest a light sport insole with arch support. If you choose that route & wear a med. to heavy weight sock, you should get a 1/2 size larger, as the toe box can get a bit cramped. Hope that helps.

Answer:	Leather, so I really really really wouldn't. Also I haven't submerged them, but getting the bottoms and toe box wet you can forget about maintaining any sort of grip until you dr6 them. And the tread will suckered up mud like a vacuume! If possible I'd try and use these for hiking and climbing, then swap out to something more swimming shoe-ish for submersion
