Answer:	I have never let my power pack discharge to empty. My power pack has had 3 lights lit and it took 2 weeks before the 4th light became solid. The power pack is advertised as the solar panel is only meant to charge the power pack in an emergency.

Answer:	The weak point in this system is the controller. I would unhook it and put it in the round file, order a Zamp controller and install it. You will get better readings on your daily collection of amps, battery voltage, and you can use it with LA, LiPo and AGM batteries by choosing the internal settings. No it shouldn't flash, I set mine on a shelf as an emergency back up and installed a Zamp 10 Amp. More expensive, but more quality and more amps to your battery.

Answer:	I think the wires that came with the unit are probably 6 feet long but if you need more length you can purchase an extender. Keep in mind the less the voltage must travel the more efficient the charger will operate.

Question:	I've seen mixed responses here; can this panel directly power a dc fan that is wired to the load side of the controller without a battery
Answer:	Yes. I directly wired two 5V DC muffin fans to the solar panel bypassing the controller. Since all they do is vent hot air out of the chicken coop, I didn't need a battery. When the sun is out, it gets hot in there and the fans come on. When the sun goes behind the clouds or sets in the evening, the fans quit. I didn't need constant power and the fans were cheap enough that I didn't worry that they would last forever, just long enough to get through the heat! Oh and they are still working, only I reversed direction and they circulate the heat now that its colder.

Answer:	Hi David, if the heated pet water bowl is DC load, you need one small 12v battery, pls connect the battery, pet water bowl and solar panel to the charge controller, then the kit will bring power to the pet water bowl. If the pet water bowl is AC load, then you need one additional inverter to convert the voltage from 12v to 110v for the pet water bowl. Question:	I received my solar panel kit and I noticed on the back of the panel it says it's a 22v (24volt) panel. Is this going to safely charge my 12V battery
Answer:	The open circuit voltage (no load) will be 22.4 volts, but the voltage under load will be much lower, depending on the load. The charge controller will assure that the voltage at the battery does not exceed the 14 to 15 volt range while charging, and will also drop the voltage to the 13.8 volt "float" charge level when charging is complete. The controller will also prevent the discharging of the battery when the solar panel is not in the sun.

Answer:	I purchased this system to act as a 'test bed' prior to buying my main dual-axis 2 panel system (Two 250W, 24V 8A panels). It's a monocrystilline 100w panel stated to output 5 amps, 12volts. I see consistent 13~14 volts at 4 amps, and have hit 5 amps on really good days (but 4A are more realistic). As a test item, I had it charging a 73AH Deep Cycle Gel battery from West Marine (the panel came with a 30A PWM charge controller). It worked fine and charged the battery in a matter of short hours ( I have both an amp meter and a volt meter connected to track its output). Previously, I was using two 45W amorphous panels (Harbor Freight) that took up to 4 days to do what this one panel can do in 4 hours. Buy with confidence.
