Answer:	Yes,this fence unite comes with about 8 or 9 long round rods . The rods are about one quarter of an inch thick, and about 28 to 34 inches long. The rods are used as pins to hold the sections of fence together. The rods are long enough that the extra can be pushed into the ground and makes for a very strong , stable fenced enclosure. Answer:	I am not sure but we have a 107lb dog and a medium sized dog maybe 40 to 45lbs. They both have the same collar buy you can turn them up or down on the control switch.

Answer:	Yes you can, with a disclaimer; On cat collars for electric pet fences, typically the collar strap will have about a 1" section (at least) where a stretchy elastic is used. This is because our feline friends tend to stick their heads into places to see what's going on. If they pull back out and the collar strap gets caught on something, they tend to continue pulling. The stretchy section allows a break away, so the collar won't be choking them as they pull. We do not carry these types of replacement straps, so that would be up to you if you wanted to change out the strap. As far as the size of the receiver -It isn't going to be bulky on a 10 lb putty tat. The correction should not be overwhelming unless he's got a timid/skittish personality. 1. Pre-correction warning tone: when the dog reaches the edge of the signal field it will hear a warning tone that lasts about two seconds. If the dog does not return to the safe area it will receive a continuous correction by warning tone static shock until it returns to the safe area.

I went from my dog jumping my 6ft fence to sticking by the house because of this line. The key is don't allow the dogs see you install the line and follow the directions exactly. Due to the nature of our dogs, they will challenge the line at first. If you follow the directions, the challenge and curiosity will be "zapped" right out of them. I NEVER chase my dog around the neighborhood anymore! This is a fantastic buy.

Answer:	I recommend not using the collar that comes with the unit, the manufacturer puts large attachment holes in a narrow collar (3/4 inch). Buy a 1 inch collar and put your own holes in. This also allows you to put the clasp on top of the dogs neck, to allow for easy removal and attachment of dog tags.

Answer:	This model collar, the PUL-275 is compatible with all in ground receivers except PIG00-13619 and PIG00-11115. I have used it on my own pro tx-1 with no issue.
Question:	How do you tell if there is a break in the wire
Answer:	I have 4 dogs, 11, 16, 50 and 60 lbs and use these collars on all 4. The smallest dog I have shortened the collar to 9.5 inches and was my newest rescue to be trained on it. She does great. She is a Chi mix.

How it works?

The fence system works by producing a wireless signal from the transmitter through the boundary wire.Your dog wears a collar receiver and is allowed to play freely in the boundary area.When your dog approaches the boundary wire,the collar receiver gives beeps and shocks.The closer the dog goes to the wire,the more intense the shock will be.It is very effective to train dogs back into the boundary area.

1.Train your dog for about 3 weeks to let him know how the fence system work.

2.The real boundary is not the wire but the signal area formed by the wire.

3.Do not use this system on aggressive dogs and don't use it on dogs for over 12 hours.

4.The collar receiver is IP66 waterproof while the transmitter is not waterproof.

Question:	Has anyone added more wire for a larger containment area? If so, how difficult was it to do
Answer:	I have added more wire. I needed to contain a 2 acre area, and ordered another roll of the wire, same gauge as came with unit. I ordered splicing capsules as well, twisted the extensions and sealed the capsules with poly sealant from a tube. Was very simple.

Question:	Does the remote control work for more than one dog
Answer:	Yes. There are three buttons on the remote trainer. You have to push the button for whatever collar you want to activate first before activating the correction. I usually leave it on collar number 1 as this pup needs the most training. I rescued a lab pup from the highway traffic, and with the help of this trainer, she is transforming from her separation anxiety from being dumped to an amazing dog. I can't imagine what she went through before I picked her up as she was frantic. It has been 5 months now and she is well trained now and responds to verbal commands without having to use the correction.
