User questions & answers

Question: I wonder if this really work? I sprayed mine last Friday, and it's been 5 days, and there is no differences on hose the dandelion looks
Answer: If this product contacts those dandelion when sprayed, you should see evidence of those weeds dying after 5 to 10 days. Give it a few more days; but, if you get no results, Scotts will refund or replace.
Question: What is the coverage for this bottle
Answer: The 5000 Sq. Ft. answer is WRONG! Per the label, coverage for one quart (32 ounce bottle) is 6000 sq. ft. for specified southern lawns (not all southern grasses will survive this herbicide) and 4000 sq. ft. for northern lawns (bluegrass, fescue, rye).
Question: Safe on St Augustine grass
Answer: I have had no difficulty with it on this grass it is great product and easy to use
Question: Can I pour the product in a different sprayer since the new design sucks?ks
Answer: Scotts did send out a replacement bottle that did work right and I was able to very carefully open the bad ones to use in another sprayer. I had an old sprayer from another product that worked fine.
Question: How often shouldyou fertilze with 10 10 10 after a new sod installation?10 10 10 was put on when laid. It has been 3 weeks...is it safe to put add
Answer: 4-5weeks
Question: can i use this as a winter application
Answer: It is probably not the best choice. The active herbicide only works on actively growing plants, and should not affect anything that is dormant. The fertilizer mix is intended for newly planted grass. If you are growing new grass and have actively growing weeds , then it's perfect for the winter. If you are South of New Orleans, this could be sensible. I plan to use it to kill active broadleaf weeds and hope to give some bahia a hard time when it wakes up. I will overseed hybrid bluegrass to the shaded areas of a mixed centipede/st augustine/sand spur lawn. Technically, it's winter in February... It also just hit 75 degrees, and our soil temp is headed north of 55. Most people call that spring.
Question: is this product kill existing weed? and how can i use
Answer: Apparently is only a preventer, I had to kill crab grass before applying this. Crab grass is very strong, maybe it can kill other weaker weeds.
Question: What is the n-p-k content
Answer: 21-22-4

User questions & answers

Question: Will this work on dollarweed on St. Augustine grass
Answer: I think it will, so far it worked at all kinds of weed on my lawn. I have Medallion Fescue. But now i'm using Scott's Turf Builder weed & feed. I have a small lawn area, so i can sprinkle on weeds, wetting them first. Does not harm my lawn at all, But of course test it out first on one.
Question: Is this product harmful to the environment
Answer: No. The product chemistry is designed to eliminate undesirable lawn weeds through contact with these plant surfaces. The product will leave lawn grasses unharmed and after application the product leaves no harmful residue for insects or animals. The ingredients become inert when and leave soil unaffected..
Question: Will this kill oxalis
Answer: That particular weed is not listed on its weed killing list. My problem was crabgrass.

User questions & answers

Question: Can I use this in November in south Ms
Answer: Yes, I just sprayed 3 acres with Bifen I/T - Amazon link here - https://www.amazon.com/Bifen-Bifenthrin-96-Same-Talstar/dp/B0046DN72K Worked great so far.
Question: How do I open this item so I can add more roundup
Answer: The inside diameter of the hose appears to be about 3/8ths. I can’t give the exact diameter as I don’t have a dial indicator. However here is what I can tell you. I needed to do the same thing. I had some air hose laying around and it was a little bigger than what I needed but I just used a hose clamp and clamped it down. I used about 30 feet. Lost a little pressure with extending the hose out but not a whole lot. Pump is pretty powerful and it worked great. As far as going out 50 ft ? It would probably perform the same as it does with the 30 I installed.
Question: Where do i find out which to buy northern or southern? i'm in northern va and would think southern but you never know
Answer: Don't know for sure, but don't so.
Question: Is this ok for san augustine grass
Answer: I believe so.

User questions & answers

Question: Is it safe to use on bahaya Florida grass
Answer: Kelp (and all seaweed) contains iodine, and naturally occurring arsenic. Too much iodine causes thyroid disease. We all know what too much arsenic causes. The question is: how much is safe? See if the package says anything about iodine or arsenic. I think Amazon deletes references to websites, but I found a good article about kelp & dogs (how different can chickens be?) at DrFoxvet(dot)com, enter "kelp" in the search box. Also, the National Institutes of Health website addresses the arsenic question in two articles: "Safe use of herbal kelp supplements" at ncbi(dot)nlm(dot)nih(dot)gov/pmc/articles/PMC2137109/ "Arsenic in Herbal Kelp Supplements" ncbi(dot)nlm(dot)nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2137117/?report=reader Both are full of academic & medical terms, but you can still get a lot of useful information, even if you don't know all the vocabulary.
Question: Can this be used on Zoysia grass
Answer: Twice a week. The dose will depend on where you’re at in flower. It will either be 2 teaspoons per gallon of water twice a week or 1 teaspoon per gallon of water twice a week as you get towards the end of flowering. The application chart can be found on the website.
Question: is this product ok to use on floritam/centipede grass
Answer: The trick is to ask for a refund!!! This happens a lot - too bad because I like the hair spray but it is worthless if the sprayer does not work :(
Question: I tried 2 bottles , had good water pressure, sprayed for 3 hours, each bottle had only 1/3 gone. I could smell it. It didn't dispense
Answer: I cannot answer this question but I spray my hair in the morning, enough to hold it most of the day. By the end of the day it still looks fairly good without feeling stiff.

Product description

This is a 2 gallon, battery-powered compressed-air style Tank sprayer that is designed to spray water soluble solutions, such as herbicides, pesticides, & other liquid chemicals typically used for weed prevention, Weed remediation, pest control, fertilizing, & watering. This sprayer uses an internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery to power an electric air compressor pump. The pump zero electric pump is designed to provide a more convenient & more consistent alternative to standard manual pumps. It operates by pressurizing the air above the fluid in the tank, which causes the fluid to be pushed through the hose, to the nozzle, & sprayed out.

  • No more pumping!
  • Rechargeable lithium-ion power. Sprays up to 12 full tanks per charge.
  • Premium, commercial grade shut-off with comfortable grip; lock-on feature; and easy-to-clean, in-line filter

  • Teardrop-shaped tank adds stability Due to the lower center of gravity and includes built-in nozzle storage and protection.
  • 3-In-1 nozzle with three settings: fan spray, stream spray, and cone spray

User questions & answers

Question: Can this sprayer be used for concrete cleaning solutions and sealers
Answer: If the solution is not too thick. Needs to be very liquid. Works well for spraying herbicide.
Question: on this scotts 190567 do you have to hold a button to spray continually or does it do it automatically
Answer: You push a button to turn the electric pump on, and it keeps running as necessary to maintain proper spraying pressure. However, it only sprays when you depress the handle on the nozzle wand. If you’re asking if there is a way to keep the spray nozzle “on,” all the time so you don’t have to hold the handle down, I’m not sure. I don’t see a way to lock it on, but that doesn’t mean there’s not something I missed.
Question: Is the battery replaceable
Answer: Mine quit after a month, tore it apart, has two 18650 batteries soldered in. With patience could be fixed, just cheap junk though...
Question: Can you use with a bleach water mix
Answer: This sprayer has Viton seals, so it can be used with bleach/water mix. Thank you !

Whether you’re planting new grass, starting a new lawn, reseeding an existing one, or installing sod, sprigs or grass plugs, Scotts Turf Builder Starter Food for New Grass Ready Spray is fast and easy to apply. Just connect to an outdoor garden hose and spray to feed and water at the same time.

When To Apply

Give your first feeding once the seedlings begin to sprout. Wait one week and spray again for the second feeding. The third feeding should take place one week after the second feeding. Regular feedings always help grass take better root and grow vs. unfed lawns.

Fast & Easy to Apply

First, connect Scotts Turf Builder Starter Food for New Grass Ready Spray to the hose and extend to the farthest point of the area you want to feed. To feed, point the nozzle in the direction you want to spray, slide the thumb activation switch forward to the ON position and spray evenly over the entire area. When finished feeding, slide the thumb activation switch to OFF and turn off the water.

User questions & answers

Question: Can I spray weed and feed directly in grass
Answer: Jerry, If I'm understanding your question. I would only use it attached to your hose pipe as the directions indicate and if so then yes you can spray it directly on your grass. Hope this helps.
Question: How often can i use this on my lawn
Answer: I use it once every 6-8 weeks, no weeds and green grass!
Question: Should this be applied after overnight temps are above freezing
Answer: You should wait till temps are above freezing and more importantly until dandelions etc. are coming up to spray, this is after all weed and feed. If you spray before emergence of dandelions you won't kill them.
Question: Can I spray weed and feed directly
Answer: This needs to be connected to a hose. They do not give an amount to dilute this, as if it were other concentrated sprays.

Step 1:

Shake container well before using. Connect a garden hose to the sprayer nozzle. Make sure switch is fully forward in the "off" position.
