Answer:	I've had this barrel for over 3 winters with no cracks. I drain and cover it with a tarp in the winter. No issues and still works great!

Answer:	I am an amatuer winemaker, and have made wine from my own grapes for over thirty years. I would not do any fermenting in ANY kind of plastic vessel. The only acceptable kinds of containers are stainless steel, glass, and wood. Otherwise, you're going to get a plastic taste, which I'm sure you don't want, regardless of the health issues. Answer:	The barrel is definitely not made of wood - it is made of some form of plastic. The wood grain finish only looks like it is made from wood.

Answer:	You can't remove the cover. There is an opening with a removable screen that's approx 3" by 12" for filling. You could mop it out with the right tool.

Answer:	I bought it a few weeks ago and today it's the first time I try to use the rain water we got last week. The spigot is definitely plastic and it doesn't fit my regular sized hose, even with plumbing tape. Crap.

Answer:	I purchased my first of these barrels Sept. 2013. It looked so nice that I purchased two more May of 2014. I can attest that all these barrels still bow out when filled 3/4 or more. I have paving sand perfectly level, then concrete blocks on this & the barrel sitting securely and supported by the large blocks. Even though they do bow, mine have been going back into shape after some of the water is used. You will need to set them out 7 or 8 in from your house, because the bowing will push them forward. Because a portion of the time the barrel is being used it may be bowed, the screen insert will not fit firmly in the recessed area it's made for allowing mosquitos and such to get in. I sprinkle a few mosquito bits in the tank. It's annoying, but - NO - the company has not corrected this problem by making a thicker product. I intend to contact them about this. More people should, because otherwise, it's a very nice barrel that holds up cosmetically outside without fading out.

Answer:	Not sure but if like other things the coverage is higher when new and depreciates exponentially as it get older.

Answer:	I don't see any reason why you couldn't drill holes. I've decided to use that side as a bird bath. I add a little vinegar and a piece of mosquito dunk and the birds seem to love it.

Answer:	I set my deck 1" below the buttress caps. I also built a small landing for the ladder.....
Question:	It says you can connect this to a water hose, but the spigot that they show is not for a hose connection. Can you connect it or not
Answer:	Assuming you mean "how much CABLE is needed to secure a pool cover to a 18 x 33 foot above ground pool?". An oval pool has two straight sides, and two curved ends. In order to determine how much cable/wire is needed to go all the way around the pool we need to calculate the PERIMETER of the oval. The perimeter is the total length around the round and straight sides of the pool. You could figure this out easily by taking a tape measure and measuring all around the outside of the pool. But it's easier with MATH! In an 18x33 pool the diameter of the circle parts is 18. So the perimeter of the round parts is 3.14 (which is the number Pi) times 18. 3.14x18=56.52 The entire length of the pool is 33, so after we subtract the diameter from that we know how long the straight sides are. 33-18=15. There are two straight sides, so 15x2=30. Add the straight sides perimeter to the round ends perimeter to get the entire perimeter. 56.52+30=86.52 feet. The answer is it will take 86.52 feet of cable/wire to go around the entire pool. You should add a few extra feet when buying your cable as you will need the slack to go around the pool before you cinch/pull it tight. Hope this is helpful!

Answer:	Haven't thought much about that. The only way I see to connect them would be by using hose and the faucet on each barrel. With a y -c onnector(s) I see no reason why several barrels could not be connected. I the barrels are not at the same elevation that would be another problem. It would probably require a pump to move water between the barrels.

Answer:	Though I cannot tell you the exact location(s) of the landfills I’d be happy to help shed some light on the subject for you... these are food grade Greek olive barrels which mean they come to America with olives in them, intended for a one way voyage, thus they are not approved by the America Department of Transportation (DOT) and are therefore useless to American companies trying to ship their products). These barrels have far fewer uses after their initial use than there American counterpart the standard Blue 55-gallon industrial looking barrels you are used to seeing here in America. One of the uses for these barrels is trash receptacles and then they make it to a dumpster and then a landfill, across the entire United States also often plastic barrels are used as diy incinerators, filled with trash and then lit on fire. Answer:	No the lid does not come off, only a 4 by 3 inch opening can be unscrewed.But then all debris,leaves etc will end up in the barrel,and clog up the hose spout .

Answer:	the higher spigot is useful to fill a watering can or bucket. or, if you have hoses coming off it to water or drip water an area, you can water two areas at one -- one hose coming off top spigot, and one hose coming off bottom. this is useful to save time! obviously, the top hose will stop once the barrel is less than half-way full though. ;-)

Question:	How do you clean out the barrel
Answer:	It seems pretty sturdy when full, and would probably be ok if your only driving slowly around a campground or something... would be pretty challenging to tie it down and drive faster though, as the barrel would collapse under the pressure of straps. The side supports hold it up to fill, but only the water inside holds it out when full... you definitely can't move it while full, unless you set it on a flat platform and pick that up with it on top.... I use mine occasionally to store antifreeze removed from industrial chillers that need repair, then pump it back into them... never tries to transport it in this barrel, but nothing is impossible!

Answer:	you can slip a regular piece of hose onto that connector, but it is not a "screw on" connection....you need a cut end of hose....you can buy it that way at most hardware stores or get clear tubing to use as well.

Answer:	You can't remove the cover. There is an opening with a removable screen that's approx 3" by 12" for filling. You could mop it out with the right tool.
Question:	Is the screen fine enough to keep mosquitos out of my rain barrel
Answer:	I bought it a few weeks ago and today it's the first time I try to use the rain water we got last week. The spigot is definitely plastic and it doesn't fit my regular sized hose, even with plumbing tape. Crap.
Question:	Does this work only with round downspouts? Or does it also work with rectangular downspouts? If so, what size rectangular ones does it work with
Answer:	I purchased my first of these barrels Sept. 2013. It looked so nice that I purchased two more May of 2014. I can attest that all these barrels still bow out when filled 3/4 or more. I have paving sand perfectly level, then concrete blocks on this & the barrel sitting securely and supported by the large blocks. Even though they do bow, mine have been going back into shape after some of the water is used. You will need to set them out 7 or 8 in from your house, because the bowing will push them forward. Because a portion of the time the barrel is being used it may be bowed, the screen insert will not fit firmly in the recessed area it's made for allowing mosquitos and such to get in. I sprinkle a few mosquito bits in the tank. It's annoying, but - NO - the company has not corrected this problem by making a thicker product. I intend to contact them about this. More people should, because otherwise, it's a very nice barrel that holds up cosmetically outside without fading out.

Answer:	Yes. Just connect the second barrel about an inch lower than the first. That way Barrel 1 will fill to that point, Barrel 2 will then backfill the extra inch in Barrel 1, then flow back out whatever diverter you have set up.
