Answer:	It does NOT split vertically. The maximum length it will split is 19", but it will have a hard time splitting green wood. Best to season the wood for at least 12 months, unless you have a kiln to speed up the process, then you can split it.

Answer:	Not sure about the warranty. But I'm sure it does. I bought this kit and kinda put it to the side while I was getting everything to build a log splitter. Glad I did. It works Great. On one note, make sure you get a good high pressure hose going to the suction side of pump. I'm not sure exactly what size I got, but it has the wire in it so it doesn't cave in while pumping. I really recommend this 2 stage kit. If I was building another one, I'd buy another one. Hope this helped.

Answer:	Broke on the 5th log I attempted to split. Worked pretty well on the first few logs but the 5th log was apple wood and did not have a straight grain. Haven't attempted to return it yet, but will be soon.

Answer:	You obviously can split small logs into kindling. However the splitter can split a log that is 4-5 inches wide easily and my guess is if you use a good sized sledge hammer you could split up to 6 or even 7 inches. Large logs also can be split in thirds. This is a great tool for the wood shed, especially for those with fire pits etc.

Answer:	About 1-3/4to 2 inches. My splitter is larger so I use the splitter itself to push it onto my wedge. I used some Steel stock instead of wood in my splitter to keep it completely flat until it wedged fully on to my existing wedge. I had to drill the hole for the bolt. I have used it for 3 months and has worked great.
Question:	which 4 way splitting wedge is recommended for a Boss 7 ton splitter
Answer:	You should never use a 4 way splitter on a 7 ton. It will get stuck. Minimum of 22 ton

Answer:	I doubt it. I own the Boss 28 ton splitter it was designed for. It fits right over the wedge like a glove and the bolt hole lines directly up with a hole on the splitter. You may be able to get it to work on another manufacturers splitter but you will probably have to do your own alterations.

Answer:	No,It works great,I was concerned about leak at the first 2 days,so I kept checking it, they shut off completely.

Answer:	It has to be lead free, couldn't sell it otherwise without telling you, but on a different note, the one I just installed just cracked and separated under normal conditions, so I would not buy it again. You might think " how could it crack?" - when the inside is machined too large, the wall becomes too thin and will sever under pressure. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The Splitter has to bein the horizontal position to cover the entire machine with a cover but they are easy enough to lower before covering. Protecting your machine is well worth the effort to lower it to be covered. I have a 22 ton splitter and once folded down the cover fits very well.

Answer:	This will be a little short for the 35 ton Powerhorse. The Powerhorse will be 86-1/2" long as this cover will go up to 83" long.
