User questions & answers

Question: which reel best fot lite tackle
Answer: 1500 or 4500 would be good ! And you can also just get a heavy or light light depending on what you are fishing for
Question: I would like a BG 5000, why are they not showing as available
Answer: I think 47'4/ 22lbs is a 5000....pls someone correct me if im wrong....
Question: Would the 4000 be well suited for a surf setup? Or should I go bigger
Answer: Depends what kind of surf set up. For East Coast surf fishing where you’re using a 12’+ rod, lots of weight and bait, you probably want a bigger reel to match your setup. Even the next size up — tHe 4500 — has significantly more line capacity and drag. I think the 4000 is perfect for surf fishing on the West Coast. I use a BG4000 with about 250 yds of 40 lb PowerPro Max Cuatro on a ML 8’6” rod. Great for casting plastics, small spoons and Rapalas/Lucky Craft hard baits in the surf.
Question: Do you have size
Answer: no

Daiwa Tatula CT Baitcast Fishing Reels

Greys Distribution

Based on 176 reviews Check latest price

Product description

The Daiwa Tatula CT Casting Reels are a new addition to the Tatula family now featuring an even more compact design that is easier to palm and lighter on the rod. While the profile of the reel may be smaller, the performance features remain roughly the same in the new CT model. The reels retain the TWS T-wing system which enables free flow of line off the reel providing enhanced casting distance and accuracy. You get the same 13.2lbs of Ultimate Tournament Drag, the same Air Rotation system that affords super smooth operation and effortless winding with a free spinning rotation of the handle. The main differences between the new CT model and the original are the smaller size, lighter weight and new coloration system. The Tatula CT Casting Reel is an incredibly technically sound reel constructed of high quality components not typically found in sub $150 reels. The rigid, aluminum frame provides the perfect strength and durability to house the internal components of the reel. The strength of the material ensures the reel will never bend under pressure and maintain its integrity for years of use and abuse. The gear system is much stronger increasing the cranking power immeasurably and is facilitated by the reels oversized handle and reel grips that enable the full force of the angler to be focused in the right place. No longer are you applying pressure to fight the reel, its all against the fish. Daiwa's ultimate tournament drag system applies up to 13.2lbs of drag, quite a lot for a low profile casting reel.

  • Rugged, lightweight aluminum frame and side plate
  • Ultimate Tournament carbon drag UTD
  • Corrosion resistant clutch mechanism
  • Ultimate Tournament carbon drag
  • MagForce-z cast Control

User questions & answers

Question: What yr is this reel
Answer: The number are the reel sizes for example bg8000 being the biggest reel they offer and I believe 2500 is the smallest they offer. Different sizes are need for different situations. More line and more drag on the 8000 would be good for offshore fishing but not so much from land.
Question: can it be used in saltwater
Answer: Ugly stik tiger elite series. I have my 5000 on a 7ft tiger elite series.
Question: can you use any fishing line
Answer: These reels run way bigger in terms of sizing than Shimano. the 3000 is like a 4000-4500 in terms of Shimano sizing. If you plan on using it for bass in freshwater, get a smaller size. This reel can handle bonito, striper, salmon, and other big fish. I hope that helps:)
Question: Is this from Japan
Answer: Not too big at all. Many east coast fisherman use the 6500 as a jigging reel on 10' 6" rods. I have one on a Lami Xra 126 1MH

SPINNING REELS

Daiwa Revros LT Spinning Reels - Spinning Fishing Reels

Daiwa

Based on 123 reviews Check latest price

Product description

The Daiwa Revros LT Spinning Reels are a new wallet-friendly series of spinning reels from Daiwa that take their "Light and Tough (LT)" concept and apply it to the time-tested Revros series of spinning reels. At the core of this reel's design is a lightweight, yet incredibly rugged composite housing. In fact, when you pick up a Revros, your first instinct may be to think that its a high-end JDM reel, but it ain't. Rather, the light composite housing gives it the weighting and performance similar to that of some $500+ spinning reels, but does so with innovative, economical materials that don't necessitate a jaw-dropping price tag.

The new Revros LT is also significantly lighter than previous Revros models. The reel's weight was reduced by 2 ounces in the 2000 model and 5 ounces in the 4000 model. The light composite housing that makes this weight loss possible also greatly improves the strength-to-weight ratio, all while still providing a solid framework for the powerful DigiGear gearing.

For a smooth transfer of power to the main gear, the reel comes pre-equipped with a machined aluminum handle. Finally, the Revros also employs Daiwa's "Air Rotor" design which weighs up to 15% less than ordinary rotor designs. Its unique shape also reduces unnecessary weight while distributing stress more evenly throughout the rotor for maximum strength. Available in sizes from 1000 to 4000.

  • Machined Aluminum Handle
  • Air Rotor System

User questions & answers

Question: Which one is the
Answer: The 3000, size wise is on par with most 2500 series reels(Shimano)! A 6ft to 7ft Rod would not be an issue for this reel. Just consider what rod would fit your fishing requirements.
Question: How much braided line does the 8000 hold
Answer: This reel does not include and extra spool.
Question: Best size for tarpon
Answer: I've use my 5000 in Saltwater. To be honest last year I even submerged it while surf fishing with it, freshwater rinse after each use and stored for the winter. I figured being a very inexpensive reel, I'll just beat on it. Serviced it 2 weeks ago for schoolie fishing, opened it up, 1 tiny tiny spec of rust, on the spool shaft besides. Still had grease in it, no salt, or sand. A quick wipe down, oiled and greased and it's back in service. So I'd say for the money it will certainly work salt applications, had no problem taking down some 20lbs blues.

Product features

SALTIST

  • Air Bail–tubular stainless for lightweight strength
  • Digigear digital gear design
  • Dynamic Cut Aluminum ABS spool

MAGNETIC OIL

Magnetic Oil is one of a new generation of Nano Fluids that can change density and shape when a magnetic field is applied.

CORROSION RESISTANT BALL BEARINGS

Last up to 12 times longer than standard stainless steel ball bearings.

AIR ROTOR

The Air Rotor weighs up to 15% less than ordinary rotor designs. Its unique shape reduces unnecessary weight while distributing stress more evenly throughout the rotor for maximum strength.

ABS SPOOL

The ABS spool's maximized core diameter and reversed taper mean 100% useable line. No "dead" line buried in a deep core. You can fill it with line right up to the edge of the spool lip without fear of tangles. ABS cause less casting friction for longer and easier casting. The huge spool diameter line flow freely in larger coils and produces less line memory coil.

User questions & answers

Question: can you fish salt water with this reel
Answer: The one that’s bigger than the 3500
Question: How is this reel for bow fishing? Is there one better
Answer: A lot. I put a mono backing and 2oo yards of 30 lb braid
Question: Where is it manufactured
Answer: If you are putting together a rig strictly for tarpon I would go at least a 4000 if not the 4500 those will get you 17.5 to 22 # drag respectively. If you want to put together something that is a little more of an inshore Red, Trout, Snook, Jack and Tarpon rod, the 3000 size is quite a bit lighter, almost 5 oz., and will be nicer to use all day and still give you decent line capacity and 15# of drag. The fight may be a little longer but the reel will take it. You might consider the Ballistic Ci4 in a 3000 size as well for the combo rod, 22# of drag, light but composite frame.
Question: is the handle reversible
Answer: Yes. I use the CastKing Summer 3000 with an Ugly Stick GX2.

User questions & answers

Question: In the description, the one size says that it’s right handed. which is it? when you choose the fgct100 option it says left handed. is it left
Answer: Well, you can, but it's a little light to catch anything of size you might hook. If you are just fishing for mangrove snapper or sheepshead you will be ok, but, not for much anything larger. You'd probably be better off with a larger spinning reel. If you do decide to get this for salt water, like any other reel after fishing in salt water, wash it down with fresh water before putting it away.
Question: Are these reels 2017 stock because the weight for these is 10.32 ozs oother ones i have seen same models are 7.32ozs
Answer: I would not us this on big fish..... the line would be too light ,,, 3 lb spotted bass can bend the pickup
Question: Is it right handed
Answer: probably China or Thailand. Like everything else. Even if assembled in the USA the parts would be Chinese. Great spin cast closed reel, the best by miles.
Question: What does one size mean for size
Answer: Yes, it is reversible.
