Question:	What warranties come standard with this shredder
Answer:	Factory warranty is 2 years against any manufacturing defects, with a lifetime (from the invoice date) warranty on the cutting heads. The warranty assumes you follow the recommended maintenance schedule with regular oiling of the cutting heads, periodically blowing the dust off the optical sensors, etc. We have two of them in a relatively large (4 veterinarians) veterinary hospital, which get heavy use. Performance so far is perfect.

Answer:	The only warranty that I know of is in the user manual. It does warrant more than the cutters. Better that you read the warranty. User manual can be obtained online.

Answer:	There's no permanent auto mode. You turn the power on, do your shredding, it will stop automatically after shredding, then the auto mode times-out. I'm not sure what that timeout is before your have to hit the power button again. It seems they don't want it powered on ALL the time.

Answer:	It took me several attempts to get this shredder to shred a couple of compact discs, and even then it didn’t shred them all the way through.

Answer:	It might help if you pull as much as possible down and out from the underside of the shredder. Pull out the electric plug first! You might need pliers if the jam is very stubborn. Then plug electric back in and rock it from forward to reverse.

Answer:	I'm not sure. What I will say is that this unit is GREAT! I've used a number of shredders and this one beats them all. Being able to put stacks in and have it self feed is great. I had to clean out my family home with 50 years of documents - I stacked the stuff to be shredded and this handled it without a problem. I Lub it regularly to make sure it works.

Answer:	The manual is printed in Germany...and has several different languages...starting with German then English. On the back of the Shredder unit it says: MADE IN GERMANY!I am very pleased with this shredder as it makes quick work of stacks of papers using the feeder or the bulk slot entry. I would recommend it.
Question:	is there a limited run time before overheating, and if so, how long a cool down wait
Answer:	I've never had it shut down due to overheating. I've used mine for 4 years without that happening. It comes with some light oil to periodically oil the blades through the paper feed. I think this helps it stay cool. I use a little after I shred heavily and still have some left. I'm very happy with it.

Answer:	I never really counted as I shredded, but I think I have gone thru 25 or 30 sheets of 20 and 22lb paper and their envelopes on many occasions without the machine timing out. I suppose you might need to give it a rest sooner if you shred heavier paper or light cardboard like poster board. The shredder is a hard worker that makes great strips of paper that are perfect for starting my woodstove.
