User questions & answers

Question: Can I add either another handheld or lavalier to the U
Answer: Actually, they are available in different frequency ranges. I recommend you go to Nady.com and download the manual for the nitty gritty details.
Question: How many cables needed to go to amplifier
Answer: Definitely, that's why we use this system.
Question: Hi, what are the operating uhf frequencies for this u-2100 dual ht system ? 480-504.75 mhz or 505-529.75 mhz ? thank you
Answer: Unfortunately, I don't know the answer to your question. I did look on the tag of the rattle hanging on my grandson's bouncer, but it does not give any info that would answer your inquiry. You could reach out to Gund and ask them, perhaps they could be of more assistance.
Question: Does Autoscan mean that the RX automatically finds open frequencies in a given location that are usable
Answer: Hi there thanks for your inquiry as to where GUND toys are made. While we source our materials all over the world, we manufacture our toys in China, ship them here by boat and warehouse them here in the US. We hope you find this information helpful!

User questions & answers

Question: Does it have to be hooked up to anything or can my kids use it to sing along with the radio
Answer: Yes it will
Question: I already have this set and i love it. i would like a second set so we can use 4 mics. can i use two of the same sets
Answer: Great question! You would use the supplied 1/4-inch cable connected to either an 1/8-inch adapter which connects to most computer sound cards. If experiencing latency from your sound card, you may download the ASIO4ALL sound driver to enhance the delay response between signal input and output (latency). Another option would be to purchase a USB audio interface, USB 1/4-inch adapter, or USB audio mixer. These dedicated options would provide much better control and stability than most on-board or stock 'add-on' computer sound cards.
Question: Will this hook into a guitar amplifier
Answer: It gives u a clear radio station and and u put your car on that station n your music should come through the car
Question: Which adapter would I need for connecting to a computer. And, would there be any delays of sound coming from the speakers
Answer: Yes

User questions & answers

Question: Can more than one unit be used at the same time, for 16 mics total
Answer: Hello,This unit does not ship with a universal AC adapter, but the power supply will be adequate for the country it was purchased in. This system will also work with any locally purchased AC adapter with the following output characteristics:Connector: 2.5 mm barrel plugVoltage: 15 VDCCurrent: 400mA minimumPolarity: Positive inside.Best regards, Charlie Denis
Question: Are the handheld microphonesv omnidirectional
Answer: I assume you mean the receiver, not the transmitter. Depends on the control you want on the audio of each channel. Using the SUM unbalanced jack output is like using a pre-mixer of the 8 channels, and you can only control the audio level of each channel on. Using the individual XLR outputs enables you to use all your sound board's EQ's, effects, etc. as if you were connecting up to 8 mics separately. If these functions are not needed, then you might find using the SUM output more convenient in your setup as it only needs one connecting cord to your soundboard.
Question: can this be operated for a 230 V a.c. power supply adapter
Answer: You can plug into anything with a 1/4" input; you would need an adaptor from radio shack that converts to RCA plugs, to plug into your stereo. No bluetooth. But most importantly, who cares what you play it through - the product SUCKS as there is a noticeable time delay between playing the note and hearing it come out the speaker! This makes it impossible to take this product seriously, even (especially?) for the beginner. Buy a cable for $15, or save up $300 to buy the real deal. THIS IS A PIECE OF JUNK, I have no idea how this company is still in business! BUYER BEWARE!!
Question: On the octa transmiter, can you run one line to the sound board from the "unbalanced" jack, or do you recommend running one xlr line for every mike
Answer: This cable is identified as the instrument cable (14) in the operating instructions sheet. This part is not labeled with a reference number. You should contact NADY SYSTEMS at [email protected] or by phone at (510)6522411.

The “R” type instrument transmitter features a 90° angled ¼” plug for use with surface mounted jacks only (for recessed jacks, use the SMGT-100A). Easy to set up and operate, this system features 100 user selectable UHF frequencies, so you will always find a clear, interference-free channel to use, even if you are in a different venue every night! User questions & answers

Question: Does this smgt-100 system (with the right angled jack for guitars) work well with active acoustic pickups, in particular with the lr baggs anthem
Answer: I use mine with a Martin and it works perfect...
Question: Does this work with active pickups
Answer: I have used it going through a wall. At church we have an amp room to the side of the stage for guitar amps so they don't over power the sound on stage. Anyway, it worked just fine going through that wall. The wall is made of metal studs, drywall and insulation.
Question: Does this smgt-100 system (with the right angled jack for guitars) work well with active acoustic pickups, in particular with the lr baggs anthem
Answer: Absolutely! With 1000 frequencies per channel, many 1KU systems can be used simultaneously without interference.
Question: Has anyone tried using this when not in line of sight? If I am in a room above (wood floor) and the transmitter is about 20ft in the room below me
Answer: NO, these are unidirectional with a cardioid pickup pattern.

Product description

*Please note* adding an additional transmitter does not allow you to use them simultaneously!

When adding an additional U-1100 transmitter it is to give you the flexibility of using varied styles of transmitters for your U-2100/1100 system.

Replacement /extra Guitar/Instrument Wireless Transmitter for Nady U-1100 or U-2100 systems (Make sure to order the right band!)

The Nady U-1100 GT is the Guitar/Instrument Wireless Transmitter to be used with the Nady U-1100 (single transmitter operation) or U-2100 (dual transmitter operation). the U-1100 GT features high quality components and delivers clear, crisp audio every time.

Do I need Band A or Band B?

The U-1100 and U-2100 systems operate in the UHF range using one or two banks of 100 channels:

Band A: 480-504.75 MHz or Band B: 505-529.75 MHz

A band A transmitter can only work with a band A receiver (either a U-1100 Band A receiver or channel#1 of any U-2100 receiver)

A band B transmitter can only work with a band B receiver (either a U-1100 Band B receiver or channel#2 of any U-2100 receiver)

Here is how to determine the operating band of a system component:

A U-1100 receiver can either be Band A or Band B. To find out which band your receiver is operating on, look at the label at the bottom of the receiver. A U-2100 dual channel receiver is always Band A on channel 1 and band B on channel 2, so there is only one kind of receiver. Choose a Band A transmitter (handheld microphone or bodypack) to pair with Channel 1 of the U-2100 receiver and Band B to pair with Channel 2 of the U-2100 receiver

Microphone Transmitter: Unscrew the battery cap to uncover a silver sticker with the letter A or B indicating which band it operates on.

Bodypack Transmitter (LT or GT): Open the battery compartment and look for the letter "A" or "B"

  • Compatible with Nady U-1100 and U-2100 wireless systems
  • Manually selectable channel with Up/Down recessed buttons or automatically, using the ASC feature. LCD display (with back lighting) indicates Channel and Frequency Selected, Battery Level status
  • Sliding Off/ Mute/On power switch with mute on/off LED allows convenient audio muting with the transmitter on
  • Convenient, economical operation with two AA alkaline or NiMH batteries. Compact housing, metal belt clip, durable external attached antenna.
  • IC guitar cable included

Answer: Yes, the Satellite SMGT-100R will work with instruments that have active electronics/pickups but you would need a different cable than what the system is shipped with. User questions & answers

Question: Can I use a different mic that has the same 3.5mm connector
Answer: Ed,Thank you for the great question. You will have no issues using this wireless microphone system in a seminar or presentation setting as it has great range and clarity. As for a speaker, there are plenty of choices available (even from Nady). Feel free to reach out to the Nady support agents and they may be able to find a speaker suitable for your needs. Simply e-mail [email protected]. Thank you!
Question: What wld i need to tie this into recording audio via a phone
Answer: Unknown specifically, any normal 1/4" phono jack input should work from the receiver. I have noticed around my house (where I play) that there is occasional, almost 'compression' sounding 'interference' that comes into the signal and sounds odd through the RP7 pedal board to the amp. It is only occasional, however. That from a stock 90's 'Mexico' Strat and a re-worked Kramer Baretta with EMG-X p'up's in her. -Scott
Question: I am looking at this system to use for financial seminars in a restaurant banquet room. Will this work, and what type of speaker is recommended
Answer: Yes via 1/4" cable.
Question: I have an Ion Tailgater speaker/amp. Will this work with it
Answer: Hello, Thank you for your question. The DW-22 system operates on different frequency bands and therefore require a different hand-held. Please contact Nady Systems directly from their website for information on where and how to purchase the correct replacement part for your particular system. Best Regards
