Question:	Can this instrument play a chromatic scale
Answer:	The DooD fingering would equate with German recorder fingering.
Question:	Can a left handed child use this
Answer:	The dood is a good beginner instrument if you want to play a instrument that uses a single reed such as sax or clarinet, but Nuvo does make a beginner saxophone with simple fingering and fewer keys/notes if you're really interested in playing a full sax in the future. I play several instruments (clarinet, oboe, bass clarinet, and recorder) and I have fun with this easy instrument. I can't use the plastic reeds (too soft) that come with instrument so I buy and recommend bamboo reeds that work better (for me) because I can buy harder reeds and the right size. The dood has simple fingering like the recorder and sounds similar to a clarinet. The instrument is in the key of C and you can buy any easy music books for recorder if looking for music. If you're serious about learning sax I recommend moving up to the Nuvo sax when your ready and then a full sax when you're proficient with the Nuvo sax. Good luck and happy playing.

Answer:	I bought it for my daughter, who is just turning 6, and the fingering is a bit long for her. But, she is getting used to the concept by just using the upper finger holes. I would not recommend it for tiny hands if you want them to play correctly from the start. But, it is a nice recorder.
