Answer:	The carafe holds One Liter.
Question:	Does this have a shiny finish or a brushed finish? I don't want to have to be fussy cleaning the outside
Answer:	The easiest way to clean carafes and go cups is to buy the blue liquid cleaner (Umex is one of the brands sold on Amazon). It's readily available and more economical from a restaurant supply Co. Squirt a little in the container, add a little water, put the lid on and swish it around. Pour it out though the lid to clean that too then rinse well. Works amazing well.
Question:	Where is this made? China
Answer:	There are no holes in them so technically, yes, they could hold liquid. However, the tea set is made from from wood and long term use with liquid would probably damage them. Also the cups are very small so they wouldn't hold much anyway, plus the spout on the teapot is solid so you cannot pour from it.

Question:	how long does it really stay hot
Answer:	I have not had the need to remove the decals from my mixer, and they've been on there for about four or five years. Before applying the decals, ensure your mixer is PRISTINE! Then wipe it with alcohol, just to make sure. The decals are on a sheet that you place and the rub on to secure them. Check placement before you expose the adhesive. I know this didn't exactly answer your question, but I got the decals securely the first time and have not had any become damaged.

Answer:	Ours is also the gunmetal gray. This decal sticks fine and it looks AWESOME on the gray! Be sure to really rub the edges when you apply so that it's sealed good.

Answer:	There really isn’t any background. There is no white. I have it on my cobalt blue mixer and the decal is NOT blue. I really wanted blue. It is shades of lavender and purple, but it is striking on cobalt blue.

Question:	How easy is it to push the button on this carafe for someone with arthritis whose hands don't work so well
Answer:	We're still using the old filter system because the new filter has a bigger hose going from the filter to the sink which will require that we replace the valve under the sink some day to install the new filter system. Changing the instant hot water "box" took about 5 minutes. Changing the filter will take a bit of time because of the valve replacement.
Question:	Does the top “lock” for easy traveling
Answer:	Basically this has already been answered but I had another comment. First the short answer is NO. Compared to other products that run at twice the power levels this should not need its own circuit. The long answer is: it depends on what else is running on the circuit already. Based on a 15-amp breaker which is setup to break instantly at much higher values or near 15-amps if run continuously at near 15-Amps. My extra two-cents worth. Barely worth 2-cents. Is that I'm surprised the 'expert' contractor even asked you this. They should already know. Or at the least take 10-mins and look it up themselves unless they were just trying to get you to spend more money on something you didnt need. Or worse yet just don't know what they are doing. Which is probably the case. Of course from their point of view it is still a good question to ask since it takes any blame for poor results off of them if there is a power problem later. ha. I have seen simular products which take 1500-watts which is getting close to needing a dedicated circuit. Of course twice the power means it heats up faster and is better for on-demand applications where as this one has a tank included and really doesn't need the faster heat up time so long as you are not drawing more than 2/3 cups of water at a time. It would be interesting to know the real heat up time 'rate' of this item. It would have also been nice if the manufacture included a power switch to choose the power level so some kind of eco mode or smart mode. For the price Im surprised it is not connected to the internet too. yikes. Other companies offer a simular product for less than $200. Not sure it is as nice however. I just bought one myself so I will see if it is worth it or not but everyone seems to love these. I hope my Mother does too.
Question:	The interior of the Airpot is stainless steel or glass
Answer:	Power cord is built in. Its 2ft 8in from the bottom right corner of the unit when facing it. The extra one that pops up when you cart this item is likely a wired extension cable, which takes a bit of know-how to replace. So if your power jack is farther away than that you would either use the replacement cable, or just buy a grounded 2ft extension cord that plugs from both sides, which is what i would do.
Question:	what is height of this and aso the diameter
Answer:	It is the same except the filter hoses. My 2008 made SST had 3/8” tube going in and out of its filter. This one has 1/4” tubes there instead. You will need a quick trip to HoneDepot and buy SharkBite 3/8” to 1/4” adapters and sone 1/4” tube possibly as well. The rest is easy and quick.

Answer:	This one has 3 settings cold, cool and hot. The cold is good temp. Cool is room temp. Hard to determine your level of cold. But I like my water cold as well and this works for me. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Yes you can. There are two bottons on the back to shut off the hot or the cold. The third button will shut off the LED night light.

Answer:	The pump is part of the unit. You can use almost any 3 or 5 gal bottle, The sleeve that fits over the bottle is tapered to accept most bottles in the 53 mm to 60 mm caps. Wallmart, amazon and others sell the bottles.

Answer:	It should, we’ve sized them to fit on all large standard mixers. If it helps the top piece is about 7.25”x7.25”
Question:	How do you get the water out of the lid that builds up inside when washing? Is there a way to take it apart
Answer:	Mine is very lavender and purple. I also wanted the delft blue because I have a cobalt blue mixer. I say order it and if you don’t like it, send it back.

3-Steps to achieve the Best Thermal Performance

1. PREHEAT the Carafe by pouring a few cups of boiling hot water in the carafe and leaving it there for 10 mins.

2. Start out by having your beverage as hot as you possibly can. The hotter the beverage, the longer it is going to stay hot.

3. Start out with carafe being 90-95% FULL. As the beverage levels drops in the carafe, the heat dissipates to the upper levels of the carafe and somewhat absorbed by the stainless steel wall.

This is due to PHYSICS. Hence at only 15-20% full coffee will not stay steaming hot for much longer unless the carafe is topped up. This is common with Thermal Carafes.

Answer:	Does not fit my Costco's ksm6573cer2. I got item part number KN256PS. It seems the right size for a 6 quart bowl BUT the bowl must be straight sided. Sad my bowl has a flared lip.
