Answer:	Yes, the valve should tight and will only release the pressure when you loose it. Make sure the lids has the rubber band. There is a knob that you can move left of right. When is ready to start cooking the knob should be to the right position. That should close the release valve. If it work, make sure to move the knob to the left to release the pressure before opening the lid. I hope this help.

Question:	Is the pressure release supposed to be loose while in use? Because i read in google it's not supposed to be loose while lid is locked and in use
Answer:	If you're talking about the big round disc, on top in the back, I just leave that alone. It will self adjust. You just lock lid on and make sure the small dial on the top/front is set until the cooking time is over and you release the pressure with it. I know the directions are a bit confusing. I've always had a traditional pressure cooker but swapped over to have two-in-one. I kinda figured it out by trial and error the first time I used it. Once you do it works/cooks everything perfectly!
