I just swish the razor in the rubbing alcohol, and that instantly evaporates when you’re done. So the blade never has a chance to rust.” I don't see why this won't work for this peeler too.

Answer:	I have cut beets, carrots and yucca. Your ability to cut really hard, dense, vegetables is going to be based on your grip and arm strength as well as the size of the item you are cutting. If you quarter a beet before cutting, then you are cutting through less surface area. If you put a large-sized turnip on and try to cut through the entire thing, you are going to have a tough time unless you have very strong arms.

My plants thrived, and I produced crazy amounts of food. I had 1 1/4 acre in production, about half was a u-pick pumpkin operation. 3 bags of this a season did me well.

Answer:	This peeler is VERY sharp. And that's a good thing. But if you are too aggressive it can take off a deep peel. So take a breath and don't attack that cucumber, just use less pressure. Your veggie will thank you, and so will your arm.
Question:	Do you use this by peeling away from yourself? I have one that looks just like this, but (I'm a righty) you have to peel towards yourself! No good
Answer:	I bought this because it is ideal for peeling small things, like small potatoes, or an apple. I find its size so helpful - you can hold the object with your thumb and peel towards your body using your remaining fingers. That's the way my mother taught me and for me it's still the most efficient way to peel. I bought a super sharp peeler that you pull and found it too heavy and cumbersome. And useless for anything small. Also the wide blade crosswise to the handle was just super inconvenient. Maybe I'm getting old, but I had a hard time making it connect and then pulling.

The item received has no brand or origin markings, was in a generic plastic bag, and says on the bag's label "Made in China". It fell apart on first use; the blade detached from the metal swivel shaft. It's going back, will try to reorder from a seller with good feedback to get a genuine Linden peeler.

Question:	This pro y peeler was represented as being 10 inches long and 4 inches wide. I received it and it is only 5 inches long and 2.5 inches wide
Answer:	The one I received was 5” x 2 1/2”. It was what I expected. To be honest, a peeler 10 x 4 would be unwieldy. I have bought these for my daughter & granddaughter. They love it.
Question:	Has anyone tried this on a pumpkin. Derinding a large pumpkin for carving can take forever! Thanks Boudica
Answer:	I have used this on pumpkins, winter squashes, you name it I probably peeled it. With larger pumpkins it takes a while and you aren't going to do it in long strips. It's sort of in pieces and the groves areas it's hard to get the skin off without taking large chunks. This does work better than the side peelers.
Question:	Can this peeler work up and down? In other words, are both blades sharp
Answer:	Both blades are sharp. I don't think I've tried peeling by pushing the peeler away from me rather than drawing it toward me, but it should work.
Question:	Can this peeler that can EASILY peel butternut squash and other thick skin vegetables
Answer:	YAH! Very pleasantly surprised in that arena. This was actually what I purchased it for. Typically I roast squash but had a recipe for chopped, boiled squash and my little peeler was not doing the job.
