| Answer: | The green portion is not a bowl. It actually is just a lip that runs on the outside so as you cut say fruit the juices don't run on the counter. The food itself sits up on the green shelf which is even to the cutting portion so it cuts straight through whatever is on the green stand. It works exceptionally well and it is not hard to cut. I have used this for salad (iceberg) and for fruit to make fruit salad. I love even cutting the tomatoes and cucumbers because again the green portion you see is actually a lip to hold the juices that run out when you cut the items. |
