Answer:	The ratchets on this belt(s) are very durable. I am overweight and my stomach puts a LOT of pressure on these belts. I also carry a gun and extra ammunition on these belts without any problem. The hold very well.

Answer:	This belt is designed well. A light pull on the spring-loaded latch, and the belt slides right out. I have had zero issues with it. You can even adjust the belt while sitting down. There is no slippage either.
Question:	I have short to medium pomp hair style. How good of a job does it hold
Answer:	You take off the buckle and cut the belt to the length you need. There are lines marked with each measurement on the inside of the belt. Once trimmed, out the buckle back on and then check to see if the rachets are in range. If not, repeat and trim more. We did a little at a time until my son was able to synch it up to the tightness he wanted.
