Answer:	I have not used it in a car only for the fireplace ash I am not so sure . It does say it is also a shop vac so it should work since it is small enough

Answer:	The capacity of the bucket is increased from 3 to 4 gallons, it includes the optional accessory kit (available for $25) and the hose is actually a usable length, versus the 4-5 ft hose on the other PowerSmith model. I own both models and for the price difference I'd buy the one with the extra filter, accessory kit and longer hose.

Answer:	Most of the breakers on your outlets are 15 amps, although you may have very few 20 amp breakers on certain circuits. That is the standard setup in American houses. OF COURSE it will blow a breaker if you exceed 15 amps, since this item is 10. It's mathematics, no uncertainty there. Anyone who tells you different is WRONG. That is not a drawback of the vacuum, of course. Any powerful vacuum will draw a lot of current. Some of the other people answering seem to be answering a DIFFERENT question from the one you asked. It's a mystery to me why they do that. Just be sure not to have 5 amps or more of other items drawing power at the same time. It's not too difficult. Small-power items are OK--just no big motors or heaters. For example, a 55 inch Samsung 4K TV uses only 109 watts, so that is roughly an amp. By contrast, an electric heater will draw 13 or more amps.

Answer:	works fine with pellet ash. that is what I use it for..i just clean filter after use.

Answer:	There is just one filter bag that fits over the motor, it has a rubber seal around at the top of it that fits to the canister top, not really washable, just shake it out and it is good to go again, I have had no issues doing this with mine and it works well, the filter is made with a canvas material, not paper or foam.

Answer:	I have a pellet stove with very fine ash and it is all contained in the unit. Suction is ok for pellet ash but do not know about a fireplace. This unit is only for cold ashes.

Answer:	PowerSmith PAVC101 10 Amp Ash Vacuum I rally don't know as I have the Power Smith Ash Vac and that was the wises thing that I bought do impress with it all

Answer:	I looked up the shop-vac you listed to see if I could find the hose adapter dimensions, and they weren't listed. The ash vacuum kit accessories FIT onto the metal extension tube that comes with most ash vacuums. On the shop-vac you mentioned, I saw it does have a metal extension tube that looks identical to mine (PowerSmith Ash Vacuum). I imagine they are fairly standard and would be universal. If you already own the shop-vac 4041200, measure the outer diameter of the metal extension tube. If it measures 4" at the narrow end (where the fittings attach), then it is the same as mine, THUS would fit yours. The other option is that the shop-vac you mentioned has an accessories kit you can buy. The PowerSmith ash vacuum accessory kit was well worth my purchase, so I hope it is compatible with yours. Question:	Why do the ashes go everywhere at the top? I cleaned out the filter and it didn’t help
Answer:	Poor quality. Don’t waste your money.
Question:	Does it have a fine filter, as most shop vacs allow thr fine ash to jus blow back out into room
Answer:	We use it to clean our pellet stove and it doesn’t spit out the cloud ash.

Answer:	This vacuum won’t suck ashes but for 15 seconds and it clogs and doesn’t work. I returned mine after one use. I don’t recommend it.
