Step 1: Choose Butane

Choose the right butane is very important for lighters. In general, high purity and high-quality butane can prolong the life of lighters.

In addition, the butane with low purity and poor quality contains too much air, which will cause the lighter to fail or fail to ignite during use.

Step 2: Release Gas

Before refilling a butane torch lighter, it is necessary to drain any remaining fuel from the lighter. FILLING AND RE-FILLING LIGHTER

Question:	Does it have an indicator for how much butane it has
Answer:	Unfortunately it does not have a butane indicator. Otherwise it is a very solid and reliable torch lighter with a metal hefty feel. I highly recommend it :)
Question:	My lighter is filled with butane but it won’t light. You can hear the butane escaping but no flame. Any suggestions on what would cause this
Answer:	If it isn't sparking(with an audible click) then the piezoelectric ignition is defective and you should contact Amazon for a replacement. If it clicks but no flame, make sure it is close to full and slowly open the fuel valve by turning the dial left. Presuming that doesn't work the only course of action is to return it for a new one.

Question:	What are the dimensions of the lighter
Answer:	The torch uses butane, not lighter fluid. The butane comes out of a pressurized can through a plastic injector. Turn the torch upside down, then with enough force to depress the injector, push the injector into the valve in the bottom of the torch. It takes about maybe 15 to 20 seconds to completely fill the torch (you can see the level through the glass gauge on the side of the torch.

Answer:	I have another similar-operation cigar lighter. I went to a cigar / tobacco shop and the gentleman showed me the correct way to re-charge it with a can of butane fuel he sold me. Some lighters require you to first depress the filler pin with a paper clip and reduce the pressure / fuel to zero. Get it all out. Then fill it with a new, fresh charge. Ya might wanna try that, or have a cigar shop person help you. I have two of these torch lighters and they both work perfectly now.

STEPS ON HOW TO REFILL YOUR LIGHTER:

1. Before refilling a butane torch lighter, it is necessary to drain any remaining fuel from the lighter. Using the small screwdriver press the fuel-refilling nozzle to remove the leftover fuel.

2. Turn the black flame adjustment dial (Not the metal screw) clockwise until it stops to turn off the fuel flow before refueling.

3. Point the fuel nozzle up and push the container of fuel into the lighter. Turn the fuel nozzle down and wait while the lighter refills. It is important not to pump the fuel can into the lighter while refueling because this may cause the fuel tank to burst.

4. Once the lighter is refilled, allow it to rest until the fuel becomes room temperature. Butane fuel is cold while refilling. It will expand as it gets to room temperature.

5. Turn the flame adjustment dial back 1/2 turn counter clockwise. Attempt to light the lighter. If the lighter won't light, turn the adjustment dial another 1/4 turn and try again. Keep adjusting the dial in 1/4 turns until the lighter lights.

**Please note: Lighter will not ignite at the lowest setting as there is no butane pressure at that setting**
