Answer:	I have not used mine very much because of the tinny audio quality compared to my older Sony headset. No popping experienced. Probably external interference from some other source. A channel change might lessen that as you discovered.

Answer:	Connect the power cable to the charging base. Using one of the included cables, plug the charging base into your television. Place the headset on the base to charge (this took about 6-8 hours for me). Once the headset is charged, remove it from the base and turn it on. The controls (volume, on/off, etc, are on one of the headphones. The sound is transmitted to the headphones from the TV via the base. They work great - I connected them, muted the TV, and listened to the TV through the headset as I walked to the other end of the house (55 feet and multiple walls).

Answer:	Christopher is correct. Although you can purchase a secondary set - which we did because the clarity while listening/watching a show is so much more enjoyable! (Note: Ensure you have a TV in another room before purchasing a second set!). If you do have a second TV elsewhere in your home, put the base where your second TV is and set up just as you did with your original TV and headset. That will be it’s home base and where you charge them, etc. after watching in the other room. We use the pair when we want to watch a show/movie together and both use our headsets simultaneously for clarity and a wonderful theatre like experience. To do so, you simply bring the second headphones out, reduce the volume on the TV to zero, or else there may be an echo, click the small button on the bottom right side of your headphones and the sound will automatically toggle over and you will hear the show/movie from the TV in front of you. Answer:	Well, I don't know what "drive-by static" is but I hear nothing but the program I'm watching when I move my head around, so I guess your answer would be "No".

At my age (73) my hearing has deteriorated sufficiently that I am not to be totally trusted anymore for perfection in sound quality, and these phones are not as clear and accurate as my Grado stereo headphones, but TV also is mostly speech, not orchestral music. I highly recommend them, and someday I should purchase another pair just in case my first pair has a problem. I use them about 3 hrs every night to listen to news after my wife goes to bed.

Answer:	The RS175 includes the optical cable that you will need. However, with my samsung tv it was necessary to go to the TV menu and change the sound setting - additional settings - audio format to "PCM". Then just use the switch on the back of the RS175 receiver to the "up" position when listening to the TV. You have the option of muting the TV or not. These are awesome headphones!

Answer:	I have both the RS170 and the RS175. The 170 requires you to press a switch on the base unit, and one on the earphone. The 175 requires only a switch (4 seconds) on the earphone. The earphone then turns on the base station. Much easier than the 170.
Question:	does the headphones create a buzzing static
Answer:	Connect the 175s to the digital audio "out" optical or the audio "out" on your samsung tv that way you can still use your suround sound for other people at the same time you use the 175s. If other people don't want to listen you can turn your suround sound completly off and you can just listen through your 175s.

Answer:	I had this problem with a Sony soundbar and a Samsung TV. The sound settings were already on PCM because I'd been using a set of Sharper Image headphones. What worked for me with the soundbar was to turn the soundbar and tv off, then disconnect the optical cable from the soundbar only. Then turned the tv back on. I went to the sound settings & reset to factory default. Then I changed the output and input settings which had reverted back to digital to PCM. I noticed the auto-sound option which had been selected was not selected after resetting to factory default. I left that unselected. Then I turned off the tv and re-connected the optical cable securely to the soundbar. My soundbar now works with Prime and other smart hub apps.

Answer:	As stated in my review, the first pair of batteries that came with the unit, lasted 4 1/2 years. The little button on the bottom is a 3 channel position slide switch. Depends on the location you place the unit (transceiver) determines the best channel. You will need to try each of the channels for the best reception. Does this answer help you?

Answer:	In this order: Connect the headphone base to wall power, but not to the TV. Hang the headset on the base and make sure it's charging (red light will be on). Allow headset to fully charge (a few hours). While the headphone jack is still not connected to the TV: Turn on the TV and turn it up loudly enough that you can hear it. Connect the wire from the headphone base to the TV. Make sure your 3.5 mm connector is plugged all the way into the socket (sometimes people don't push them in far enough). The TV speakers should be muted now. Check to make sure you have a green light on the headphone base, meaning that it is getting an audio signal. Turn on the headphones. You may just hear static, or you may hear distorted TV sound. Turn the fine tuning adjustment on the head phones until you have good audio from the headphones.

Answer:	Our Toshiba TV has on-screen settings menus that allow cutting off the speakers while leaving the audio jacks active. But there are a few menu steps, which gets to be a nuisance when executed 5 - 10 times in an hour. So instead I plug the RS120 base transmitter into the Directv satellite receiver., which allows use of the headset with the TV speakers muted -- or even with the TV turned off. (One tiny issue with that arrangement: the receiver audio and the TV audio are not perfectly synchronized, so if you elect to use the headset while the TV speakers are on, you get an echo effect.)

Question:	How is the microphone? I'm wondering if I can use these to teach online. The students to hear me clearly enunciate words
Answer:	I agree with the muffled sound issue. I wouldn't recommend them for online teaching. I Purchased these for my husband. During calls, he could hear the person but they could not hear him. I would recommend a USB wired gaming headset. Most have a boom mic, which would work nicely for online teaching. I work in higher education and use a USB wired headset.
Question:	Need to see the manual in bigger print
Answer:	I agree. Had to use a flashlight to see it better.
Question:	Cannot get it to work with bluetooth. Dell tech support tried for 1 1/2 hours and no connection. Manual print too small to read. Help
Answer:	I understand the print being way TOO SMALL. I know is that the power must be on turned OFF at first(POWER button on the right side of headset), follow the steps below then turn POWER ON, the blue light starts flashing indicating it's powered on &/or pairing with Bluetooth capable device. Make sure you turn on the Bluetooth capability on your phone or other device, if it doesn't automatically find the headset & connect then you have to search for device which will be listed as "WH-816", if code is needed to access "0000" is the code you enter. The light is suppose to flash(even if POWER is OFF) to indicate a successful pairing. Then turn POWER ON to enjoy! P.S. If does work the first time, turn OFF headset & then back ON. If that doesn't work, try pairing instructions once more with POWER OFF to headset & remember if it's a success the blue light on headset will flash. I hope you find this helpful & have a successful outcome.
Question:	Because the manual print is so small, I cannot read it at all. Does anyone know if there is online information where I could learn about them
Answer:	I haven’t been able to find it online. Maybe have someone read it for you, or use your phone to take a picture of it and “blow it up”??
