However, some packaging will still say baking soda on it because it took some time to get new bags and we did not want to delay product availability. Hamsters, gerbils, dwarf hamsters are not supposed to be exposed to PINE shavings or wood in toys and such, yet many products "for hamsters" are in fact made of pine. I've had the same hamster now over a year. She loves this bedding just as much as any. I don't notice any odor from the product, and 1 bag this size lasts like forever even if you clean the cage weekly. It's a great deal with no pine, paper only. I give it an A++++

Answer:	As someone who has had dozens of piggies over the years and rescued just as many I can tell you that the setup of the cage can make all the difference in the world. Unfortunately I know far too many people get guinea pigs don't set it up right and then they find it a pain in the neck ...in fact I'm trying to help someone rehome one right now. I always kept my Guinea in ferret cages at least three stories high. I modified it for their feet so they wouldn't get hurt. But in the bottom I had a removable tray with no screen on top of it or greet. Once a day I'd pull that out throw it away and put new padding down, usually newspaper with no color. When you're caring for many I couldn't afford to buy special bedding period but there's nothing wrong with black and white newspaper. My point is it took less than one minute to do this each day and it was so convenient she was a great Guinea pig and lived a long happy life. So if you can figure out something similar or a cage with a pull-out tray it is the easiest thing to do. you can't go a week without cleaning that's for sure because they go so much it smells. Even if you don't smell it other people that come in will smell it. No kitty litter or things like that. wood shavings are not that great many guinea pigs have allergies to them. If you wanted to use a natural pet safe soil type of a bedding you could do that and get a very tiny kitty litter scoop type thing. Or make one out of some screen. Answer:	Yes, it does. I have clumping cat litter for my cat. And I have seen a dramatic decrease in cat litter being all over everywhere. DONT GET THE MAT WET!!! I know some people say it's washable, maybe, but I'm not taking any chances. It does come up with a vaccum hose. Answer:	No, I have mine on carpet and it doesn't move. The material its made out of is kind of rubbery so it grips.

Answer:	I am on here looking at mats because my cats kept peeing on this one and unless you want to try taking it outside and hosing it down (which I do not want to do in January in Michigan), the answer is no. It is a great mat though and lasted months but once one cat got a little pee on it, it was pee city for a few days before I threw it out. Like literally a puddle under the rug. I am switching to a regular throw rug that I can put in the washing machine. I've had cats for 13 years and every litter mat I have bought has ended this way.

Answer:	I actually use more for flowers, and for those since I have large garden area, I spray fence like so they do not go into area. For hostas that they love and if they are exceptionally beautiful I spray them direct. For trees, I would probably spray direct on trunk and small area around perimeter. Trunk should really absorb odor, so unless it rains, should be able to go week or so. Hope this helps...I really love this product.

Step 1: please open the mat and fold the mat in the opposite direction of the creases give a good firm press on the creases area.



Step 2: Please then keep the mat flat on the floor, and place a heavy box on the crease (more weight is better, eg. 60 LBs). We will suggest to leave it for more than 7 days.

HOW TO DEAL WITH THE FOLDING MAT?

Solution 1: Heat the creases by hair dryer for a few minutes, Fold the mat in the opposite direction and put a heavy object on the mat (the heavier, the better. e.g. 60 lb). After a few days, the mat will return to original state.
