Answer:	These buds are IPX7 certified so you can take technically take them swimming. That said, there is some limitations with Bluetooth in being able to transmit through water. We can't in good conscience promise a good experience while swimming as the audio may cut in and out based on the limitation in the technology of Bluetooth. For care/cleaning we'd recommend giving your buds a good rinse with fresh water if they are ever exposed to salt water or chlorine. Once rinsed, go ahead and let them completely dry prior to putting them back on to charge as the clip is not waterproof.

Answer:	I'm sorry I don't know because I returned them. I found the inner lining made the bib somewhat stiff and the snap was quite tight, so it would be hard to remove with one hand if you were feeding a baby and they fell asleep with it on. I purchased Greensprouts Stay-dry Bibs instead and am very happy with them, but I got rid of the packaging so I'm not sure if they're made in the USA or not, but if it doesn't say it on the description, it's probably not.

Answer:	The inside sticker on a pair of these purchased in 2020 shows that it is "Made in China". The production country doesn't always indicate the quality as many name-brands have been outsourced to China.
Question:	These being 55 ohm models, can you really get by without a headphone amp? I'm coming from Grado SR80s which sound fine without an amp, imho. This is for personal use, no mixing or DJing. Probably using a laptop or my Cowon MP3 player usually
Answer:	Note : I'm hard of hearing (severe to profound, with more loss in the higher frequency) Comparing these to a Sennheiser HD 280 Pro that I am replacing (the right side died from a bad wire after just a year), using my desktop computer and my Samsung Galaxy J7 Star phone as a reference (using Google Music). On my desktop PC, which is basically your typical RealTek type of integrated sound card, they are a bit on the quiet side, but possibly audible enough for most people with a normal hearing range, but I am able to hear the vocals and bass, just more quietly than I like. The HD280Pro above was a louder by default (but has a higher impedance oddly enough). On my mobile phone, it's louder and while it may not be cranking it out, it's definitely loud enough for me to enjoy without a problem. When paired with my Tascam DR60Mk2 4-channel audio recorder, using the computer output into CH1/CH2 XLR inputs at a 'LOW' gain setting, and headphones plugged into the Phone monitoring 3.5mm jack with an output volume around 6~8 depending, it is much louder and closer to what I prefer. Also with the amplication provided on the tascam (Which is overkill for computer purpose, and meant more as a field recorder) with a Low gain setting is a very clean signal to the headphones and definitely loud enough for someone who is close to deaf as I am. Nutshell : even with me being hard of hearing, using the headphones with a mobile phone or computer directly, it's loud enough for me to hear it, even if it's not like "jamming". Sidenote : Compared to the Sennheiser, these are semi-open backs (versus a closed back), which means not only do the K240 exhibit sounds that other people in the room will be able to hear what you're listening to easily, it also means that as I'm typing on a mechanical keyboard with 'red' switches, I can hear my clacking typing while music is playing on the headphones.
Question:	What is better for recording and mixing guitar, vocals (for metal). And mixing them. AKG 240 or Audio-Technica ATH-M50? Why
Answer:	I can't comment on the ATH-M50, as I haven't used one yet. The AKG 240 however is a very good set, but I wouldn't use headphones to mix final masters. Especially not when you have to listen to screaming guitars. For tracking vocals you should be carefull as a sensitive mic would "listen" to the headphones too. Not always welcome when recording soft passages. Hope this helps

Answer:	I own the 712's and 702's, but not the 612's so I can't fully comment on your question. However, I can say that the 712's are much better than the 702's. The 712's have a richer bass tone, which more than makes up for the lack of bass in the 702's. With the 702's I was producing mixes that actually had too much bass to compensate. The 712's are extremely clear, clean sounding, yet extremely flat too (except maybe a tiny boost in the bass, but it is not a boomy sound - still very clean). You can listen to them for a long time without getting fatigue. Also, they are more comfortable than the 702's. Another headphone that I really love is the Audio Technica ATH-M50's. They are definitely more fun to listen to than the 712's, and way better than Dr. Dre Pro's, but the highs and lows seem to be a bit more exaggerated (which is why they sound so good). They are closed back too, which makes them not quite as good for mixing as the 712's. But, they are in the $100-$150 price range. I hope this helps...

Answer:	Yes they are I bought them for my son as a Christmas gift and he loves them. I bought him the red ones. They are authentic.

Answer:	YES they break easily, ours started to show tears where the plug connects to the wire and broke off after 4 months of use.
Question:	do they last long
Answer:	For me yes. Got mine Oct 2017. Its now Aug 2019 and they still work. Problem is the left side foam ear piece is coming undone. This is wearing them outside in all sorts of weather 40 minutes or so to and from work. The longest pair of headphones I ever had lasted this long including Beats Solo and Solo 2 I had. I don't wear them working out getting sweat all over them.

Question:	Are the earpads made with memory foam
Answer:	Im pretty sure they work with any phone that has a headphone jack

Answer:	I asked customer service at AKG. They told me there was essentially no difference. Just a different name once the distribution changed.BUT, I bought them both and compared them carefully. The K553 simply sounds better. The base response was slightly improved. (A bit more punch and presence.)And the treble range has been improved. The K550's treble was a tiny bit too pronounced. A little too "silvery". The K553 does not have that problem. It sounds more correct. More neutral as it should be.I swear Im not just imagining things. The K553 does sound a little better. I kept the 553s and love them.

Answer:	The SoundLink Around-Ear II is an improved version of the original model. The Bluetooth is integrated internally in the headphones as opposed to using a detachable dongle. The series II upgrades the Bluetooth version to 4.1 which offers compatibility with more types of devices.
