Answer:	It will not damage the siding as long as water won't. Rinse, wash then rinse again. It is safe for the plants and grass too. What you might be cleaning off might not be safe for plants but the cleaner is.
Question:	A winters worth of gas fireplace exhaust is on exterior bricks that are painted white. Will it work without stripping or damaging the painted bricks
Answer:	I think there is some potential for the product to eventually dissolve some paint, but in general it's low-impact, nothing like a petroleum-based product. Also the soot came off relatively quickly and easily (from natural stone) and you wipe off all residue with plain water. It would take much longer for it to affect paint, I believe, especially if it is good quality exterior paint that has thoroughly dried. You could always try it on a small section first. I think you can return it if it doesn't work for you.
Question:	Has anyone cleaned natural sandstone with this product
Answer:	We have not cleaned natural sandstone with this, or any other, product.

Answer:	Used this product on smooth fire brick and it dissolved the pitch. Should expect the same performance on smooth cement. Suggest the use of many rags, multiple wash/rinses, and please use heavy duty gloves and eye protection.

Answer:	We used this product weekly in our fireplace with a wood stove insert. We burned 3 to 4 cords of wood a winter and had not buildup of creosote at all. I recommend this product.

Answer:	Sorry, but it still needs to be cleaned, it isn't to be used in place of cleaning it just greatly reduces the amount of creosote that builds up to reduce the amount of cleaning needed. I only do mine once a year now. Most of the creosote is at the top of the chimney above the roof line, I'm 2 stories also. I was doing it every month and getting a good amount of creosote, I don't burn really hot my house is very well insulated. Then I started using this product, one scoop a day, and the difference was amazing. I get less after the whole burning season then I use to get every month. The cleaning is much easier and for the piece of mind and safety of my animals it is worth the 1/2 hour it takes to clean it.

No additional water is needed for application or removal. Simply paint the product on the surface, allow it to dry, and then peel it off. Product can be used to clean most all masonry surfaces both interior/exterior, textured or smooth brick, stone, marble, granite, slate, tile, concrete, mortar and limestone. Product may not be suitable for some types of man-made or cultured stone. Note: product may be difficult to remove from extremely textured surfaces or deeply grooved bricks. Always test for compatibility and desired results with your specific surface before proceeding with entire project. Re-coat over the thinly applied material with a thick coat of product, let dry completely and re-peel.

Answer:	I used this in my fireplace and inside is concrete blocks... so I would say yes. I was surprised at how well it worked because the inside had "not been cleaned in over 40 years". If you follow the instructions on the tube very carefully you will remove even the most stubborn creosote. From experience here are three keys to success: 1. Make sure you coat the entire chimney (I have a 28' chimney so I had to devise a way to use my small compressor to blow the powder all the way to the top) 2. Light a hot fire as soon as the Cree away has been applied. 3. Clean chimney as soon as the fire is out completely. Answer:	Generally speaking, 2 or 3 canisters will last an entire season (6-8 months) for the average home owner using wood for primary heat. If you are treating a significant buildup of creosote, you will likely need more temporarily until the system is clean again. You can enjoy all of Co-Mate's benefits by using a little bit regularly to help keep your system clean, reduce particulate emissions and protect your system from corrosion. Instructions for use on the canister are as follows (general guidelines only): Wood Stoves and Fireplaces: Each day, add 3 tbsp (42g) of Co-Mate during the first 14 days of operation, reducing to 2 tbsp (28g) every second day the system is in use. Pellet Stoves: Add 1-2 tbsp (14-28g) of Co-Mate into the burn pot each time a bag of pellets is emptied into the hopper. Answer:	Co-Mate is not a poultice and, as far as we know, would not be used for one. We have never tried to use the product in the manner you describe, but it sounds interesting. Two issues though. If Co-Mate gets wet, it will deactivate its ability to function. Wet material should be separated from any dry material and disposed of at that point. Also, Co-Mate is heat activated by fire, so also not helpful here.

Answer:	Yes it will. Nylon bristles are 8 inches long from center attachment. It could potentially clean a 12 in pipe. The bristles need to wrap around inside the pipe some in order to do a good job of scraping off creosote.
