Answer:	Same answer for Windows 8 here cause it runs PERFECTLY on 7 as well BUT I will gladly advertise some more. HE HE! Yes it will in fact BUT you may have to tweak it a tad here and there. There are still a few good servers running mods for this OLD but WAY ahead of it's time game. We are hoping to get new players as well so maybe you will enjoy our version of Freelancer. Regardless the SP version is a great play for sure. Glock EDITED: Any "TWEAKS" that would be needed is simply running other people's mods for this game. Ours does take a tiny bit of tweaking for some, mostly those that did not install it in the default places or fail to follow instructions thinking they know how to do everything, You know the type right, but that ain't you so all is good, RIGHT? LOL The game it'self is straight forward and MASSIVE> Never really ending game that can be played even after the SP game is over and done with, though that is a VERY long task trust me. Answer:	Yes, after installing the game to your hard drive, you must have the original game CD in your CD-player to play the game.

Answer:	Even the wisest cannot tell. For the internet knows many things. Things that were, things that are. and some things, that have not yet come to pass. I would say just buy the game and get an external USB disk reader. You will probably need to run the game in compatibility mode 2000 should be fine for windows. Hope that helps.

Answer:	NO! Not since the Sept 8, 2015 windows updates that identify the necessary secdrv.sys file as a security threat. There are workarounds for Windows 7 and 8, but NOT 10: http://myonlinesecurity.co.uk/september-2015-windows-updates-kb3086255-breaks-many-games/If you do a workaround (information in link above) or find a way to run the .exe on Windows 10 without Macrovision ;), you will need to manually open the disk and click on the AutoRun.exe file with the EA icon to install it. see less

Answer:	It works really well on Windows Vista and XP, but I have had it work on Windows 7 before.

Answer:	The main obstacle to running this game on a modern PC is the games copy protection. Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone uses SafeDisc copy protection, which is unfortunately incompatible with Windows 10 (and Windows 7 and 8 with Windows update 3086255 installed). To answer your question, XP works fine and Win 7 & 8 without the Windows update 3086255 installed. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I'm told it does work with Windows 8, but I'm currently running Windows 7. The easiest way to find out if your computer will run it would be to go to Steam and download the free demo. If that works, the game should run fine.

Answer:	Yes, it's set up so you have to log on to Steam to get the game set up. I'm not sure if you have to after the initial download, but you have to put in a Steam code at first. This is a fantastic game, but I would say wait until you can access Steam to get it.

In my opinion, and the opinion of pretty much everyone i know who has played it, the zombie game (which comes on a separate disc) is better than the original game. Both are awesome, though, and each by themselves is worth the price but you get them both here. This is a must buy, seriously. The best i can describe it is Grand Theft Auto in the wild west, but also so much more.
