Answer:	I think that the sponge part is more sturdy than the typical "bright yellow" sponges that come with alot of the spongs mops. I have used mine to clean granite tile shower floor and although I have only had the mop a few weeks the sponge is holding up just fine. Being that said, even though it is more dense and firm than typical drug store sponge mops, it is a sponge and it is porous so eventually it may wear out.

Answer:	Yes, I purchased a number of refills and never used, still in the package, it is 10.25" long and 3" wide. It probably expands after it has been wetted. It's a good mop! You may still need a standard flat sponge to get under cabinets, but it's a superior mop on the whole!

Answer:	Size 8 seems really small for an 8 year old. If her feet are small for her age you can go with the small (size 10-13). I would think she would probably be closer to the Big Kids (13C - 3Y). Be sure to check her current tennis shoes. Our 9 year old was already in size 2 shoes and we read they can run a little small so we went with large (Youth 3Y to 6Y) and They fit her great. She still can wear them a year later since they are adjustable.

This mob is about 3 inches shorter. If you don't mind a shorter mop (and can't find the P refill on Amazon which was my problem) then go ahead and use this. As long as your screws are 6.5 inches apart you will be fine.
