Answer:	If you set them on the floor in front of you with the heel to the back, you should see that on each insole one side is higher than the other. The high sides should be next to each other, so that on the right foot the high side is to the inside (arch side)of your foot.

Answer:	Unless your foot is extremely narrow, the medium size insole will probably fit you the best. Also, we usually recommend one size down on the Birkenstock insoles. Most likely the 40m will fit you well.

Answer:	Sure, but I would say these orthotic inserts would be better for long distance walking

Answer:	I think the key for you is will there be enough volume in you shoe to accommodate an additional insert and your foot. I can’t help you with that answer, but I can say I have these in my extra wide go-walks and I love them.
