Now for the tricky part... who knows the difference between 4:3 and 16:9 are and what they refer to? The former would be Ali's Trinitron and the latter would be almost any TV sold today. The ratios have a major effect on a TV's overall dimensions too.

Answer:	CLEAR MOTION INDEX IS NOT A TRUE 120HZ SCREEN! NO MATTER HOW THE COMPANY (TCL) TRIES TO SPIN IT! Sure it looks great... but it's no where near a true 120hz refresh rate and does not even COME CLOSE TO THE QUALITY OF AN ACTUAL TRUE 120hz REFRESH RATE SCREEN! I have a 120hz and 144hz screen. BOTH ACTUALLY RUN AT THAT REFRESH RATE WITHOUT ANY LYING, CLEAR MOTION INDEX OR ANY OTHER 'TRICKS' TO MAKE IT SEEM LIKE IT'S 120hz or 144hz. My screens actually run at those proper refresh rates. They both look better than my TCL 120hz CMI tv... which is still great. In fact, the HDR is fantastic on this screen. But... the motion is nothing close to 120hz. Doesn't even mimic it slightly for that matter. It's a marketing PLOY ONLY! Just because the manufacture/maker refuses to admit that just means they're lying to you.

Answer:	1 MAJOR change is the 80t DOES NOT HAVE THE ANTI GLARE FUNCTION. They removed it from this model, the whole point of buying the Q80 was only because I have tall windows with light reflecting right where the TV would be. I was going to buy the 2020 Q80T model but thought I would do some of my own research only to find out its missing that 1 feature I was looking for in the first place. For the price point, I would strongly suggest going for the Q80R if you want the anti glare function.

Answer:	Couple things can solve your problem. I had the same issue and dang near sent it back. First of all, Adaptive Picture Mode is a must and really helps. 50 Brightness, 50 contrast, 11 sharpness, color 34, tint R4, local dimming standard, gamma BT1886 3, shadow detail -5, color space native. Some streaming services are better than others at delivering 24fps content to a 120hz panel. For example, Workaholics on Hulu is nearly unwatchable the judder and motion blur is so bad. However, Workaholics on Amazon Prime Video with the Picture Clarity Settings set to Judder 4 & Blur 4 eliminates it altogether. I highly recommend “picture clarity settings” set to custom Judder 4, Blur 4, LED clear motion off (it ruins picture completely), and Noise Reduction Auto.

Answer:	I own a 43" 4K Sceptre TV that is 5yrs old, and a 55" 4K Sceptre TV that is 3yrs old. Both were separate Black Friday deals from Walmart and I got the $30-ish 3yr warranty on both but never needed it because they still work fine. I'd suggest buying them at a store so you can return them if they are defective because trying to ship them back will cost more time/money/effort than it's worth if you get a bad one which will obviously happen more often with a "cheap" brand like this vs something like a Samsung. These were the first 2 non "high-end" name brand items I've ever bought and I've been happy with both because I was planning on paying $1399 for a Samsung 55" 4K TV but this Sceptre 55" 4K TV was only $329 in 2016 and works nearly as well as the Samsung...still working fine in Oct 2019.

Answer:	This version (43S525) adds Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG), which supports HDR Broadcast TV support whenever that comes to broadcast OTA service (right now, FCC only stipulates voluntary service from broadcasters). Both versions include Dolby Vision, HDR 10. This version also includes smart assistant (Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa) built-in and a "Game-Mode" which is optimized for gaming (lower latency,...). The built-in smart assistant support can be very compelling, as is the case for myself, unless you have a smart remote such as Logitech Elite with Smart Hub (the Smart Hub would suffice by itself) which would work with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for TV control. "Gaming Mode" with it's lower latency in the 43S525 is also very compelling versus using standard mode offered by both 43S525 or 43S517.

Question:	Does the remote accept ear plugs like my current Roku device
Answer:	The remotes for my 2 tcl tvs have an aux port for headphones. But I usually use the roku app on my phone. Then you can connect your headphones via your phones aux port or use bluetooth. The bluetooth works very well, there is almost no delay in the audio. Plus the apps remote control is nice since you can control the tv without needing a direct line to its ir sensor since it works via the tvs wifi.
Question:	What's the difference between the S series & the UP series

It has good sound for a TV, meaning that you can turn it up to listen to the news, your favorite TV shows and understand it. Question:	Does this TV upscale 720/1080 content? Also how well does that work
Answer:	Maybe think of it this way: This TCL TV has four times as many total pixels as a regular HD TV has. When it displays true 4K content, each of those 8 million or so pixels is able to display a separate and distinct bit of the total picture, yielding a razor-sharp, photorealistic image. But when 1080 content is displayed, each 4-pixel group displays the same info, though the entire screen is filled out smoothly via software "interpolation," otherwise known as upscaling. This set does a particularly good job with upscaling.
