The range of connection is about 50-60 feet so you can be in one room with your device and connect to the speakers in another room. However, environment interference can shorten that range. I found that the Bluetooth connection drops from Apple's Mini iPad but works really well from our laptops and desktop. |

| Answer: | I think the Aura has a a few different modes that seem slightly confusing. In direct answer to your question about the Aura and light, no the light does not turn completely off unless you hold down the power button on the speaker to turn it off. The speaker will however go into sleep mode after about 15 minutes. When the speaker is in sleep mode the ring of light becomes dimmer but does not turn off completely. When it is in sleep mode it can be "woken up" through bluetooth or airplay etc. So I am not sure what it is doing in "sleep mode" besides the light just becoming dimmer. To turn the speaker off you need to hold down the power button for several seconds. I don't personally feel like the light ring in sleep mode is bright enough to bother someone at night but that is a subjective opinion. One thing to note is that the speaker makes a "chirp" when it is turned off/on or connects to something. The instruction manual does mention that there are 4 modes but I think in reality there are only 3 modes, or even just 2 (on/off) depending on who you look at it. Operational mode means it is on and the ring of light is at its full level. Sleep mode seems to be the same as "operational mode" except the ring of light is dimmer. Standby mode and off mode are the same. The manual even specifies "off/standby mode = off." I hope this helps, if not the original user, someone else with a similar concern. |

| Answer: | You should also be able to connect the speaker to your wifi network using either the iOS app (where your wifi settings are automatically shared) or through the ad-hoc mode with your computer (PC o r Mac). The iOS app method has been very easy for me. You just install the app and then within the app select to share your Wifi settings with the speaker. The ad-hoc method involves connecting to the Aura through your computer's wifi signal and then entering your wifi network password directly to the Aura. The ad-hoc method seems to be described well in the manual which is provided on the manufacturers website which I would suggest as a reference if someone wanted to use this methods as it is more descriptive of this process and includes pictures. I think you can also share your wifi network information through your iPhone 6 using the iPhone 6 cable (I see you did ask specifically about using the cable) and the speaker's USB port (a process outlined in the manual with more description) but using the available app is much easier and requires no cords. |

| Answer: | Mine stays on for about fifteen minutes after the last signal is sent to it, then it seems to go to sleep for another fifteen minutes. During that time the light on the power switch turns to yellow, and everything else goes dark. During sleep it can be awakened by the next signal. After about thirty minutes it has turned itself off and must be powered on again using the power switch. |
