Purina proclaims it will continue to be made in an Organic Procedure Kitchen, likely they bought the factory and kept the employees. They in it to make big money. At least this is my HOPE. The product is certainly EXPENSIVE enough to be carefully and responsively produced. Best good my dog has ever eaten. He is a senior and loved this food instantly. No more itchy skin ever since he was taken off Purina Chow as an infant, and put on Castor and Pollux Organic recipes. His coat has never been better. I feed him the canned Castor & Pollux foods also, but NOT the chicken thigh and wing..because it has dangerous shards of cooked bones! Hopefully PURINA will discontinue that dangerous product.

Answer:	The green can with chicken and peas has a gravy as does the orange can with chicken wing and thigh (or something like that) although FYI the orange can has 2-3 bones in it. They are pressure cooked so they are perfectly ok for your pets to eat (says so on the can) but I've seen some people that didn't see that message and freak out over the bones. Mine love the bones and I've never had any problems but if you prefer no bones try the chicken and pea recipe in the green label :)

Answer:	YES A HUGE AMOUNT! "1.22%" according to the company! I emailed them because OUR CAT GOT CYSTITIS FROM THIS FOOD! VET SAID DO NOT USE THIS! comparatively their canned food, some have .17% up to .27% phosphorous. We now have to use Hill's Science diet. If our cat had been male, it would have needed surgery or death now! Our cat ate this food for years and became ill, CYSTITIS with bleeding. Still not fixed after months. Company gave no agreement to me telling them they should have warning label and should lower their phosphorous amount in this product! ALSO, CATS GET TOO LITTLE LIQUID FROM EATING DRY FOOD! And if something stresses them, that also increases cause on top of these. This food company betrayed our trust in it and harmed our cat! And as other responder says, "phosphorous is not listed"!!! You find out when its already harmed you!

Question:	Is the organic pea flour made from chick peas or green peas as in peas and carrots? Thank you very much
Answer:	I believe its green peas. My dog LOVES this food! Hope this helps. I also buy the dry food from them (Adult Weight Lose Management, organic and grain free) because my dog is ten years old. He has been much healthier on this brand and my vet says it is the best food on the market.
Question:	Are these cans BPA free
Answer:	This was from their website: All of our cat food cans and our small dog food cans (5.5oz) are BPA-free. Our large dog food cans do contain some BPA in the liner. Because of how canned food interacts with the metal used to form the cans, all cans need to have some type of liner to avoid contamination that can lead to illness. We've been researching alternatives for the large cans, but to date have found there are no viable options for most pet foods (and human foods). I understand that the thought that there is BPA in the large cans may worry you. I do think it's important to be aware, though, that research has shown that the average adult consumer would have to ingest more than 500 lbs of canned food and beverages every day for an entire lifetime to exceed concerning levels of BPA identified by the EPA and FDA. There has been no research conducted on dogs or cats, but based on the levels of consumption studied in humans, a can a day would represent a very, very small intake for your cat or dog. In fact, many of us feed our own pets canned food (both large and small cans) and have seen our pets live long and healthy lives.

Answer:	Check online for details. My Yorkie is 13 and it’s the only food she digests without am issue. It does not say it’s for senior dogs but she has been on this for 3 years and so far so good

Question:	how much salt - I read it was minimal but I need to know how much
Answer:	I'm really not sure, but I have a "BUG", who is 15yr. old and in perfect health, because of this dog food. He is 1/2 pug and 1/2 Boston Terrier, still walks and has been on this dog food for years and years. I'm more concerned about the fact that it is organic, without glyphosate, then the amount of salt. I'm a Nurse and unless a dog or human has CHF or a disease where he cannot have salt, I don't worry about that ingredient, as NaCl is a necessary part of a balanced diet.
