TV/TV Related AV Devices' Connectivity

There are many pairs of red and white RCA jacks on the back of the TV /AV devices, but what we need must be labeled as AUDIO OUT/OUTPUT/AV OUT.

Connect to the 3.5mm audio out jack of your TV, which is usually a headphone port will disable your TV’s internal speakers, not suitable for watching TV with family, it’s better to try this function by a wired headphone before ordering. But if you have already has an external home stereo connected to the TV, then you don’t have to worry about this problem.

If you have a smart TV with only Optical output, or will be buying one in the future, please choose the SIMOLIO digital wireless speaker (SM-621D).

For TVs with only Coaxial output, you will need to purchase a DAC for installation.

For TVs with only HDMI (ARC) audio out, you will need to purchase an HDMI to RCA converter for installation.

For AV receivers with a 6.35mm phone jack at the front, you will need to purchase a 6.35mm to 3.5mm audio adapter for installation.

TV Sound Out Setting

Different TV manufacturers have their own definitions for the TV’s sound out. To make your SIMOLIO unit work well with your TV system, please check the sound out setting of your TV first.

If your TV only support single sound out, the TV’s speakers will be either automatically muted when you plug something into an audio out port (AUX, RCA, etc.) or they become disabled once you choose "External Speakers" as your TV's audio output. In this case, you can hook up the SIMOLIO unit to your other TV related AV device, such as cable box or purchase a sound bar + splitter for enjoying TV with your family.

The menus for sound out setting are not the same from different TV brands. please refer to your TV manual for details.

TV & TV Related AV Devices' Volume Setting

Sufficient sound output is needed to ensure Simolio working properly.

VOL.1 > 40%, VOL.2 > 30%, just for your reference. The bigger the VOL.1 and VOL.2, the better the S/N (Signal-to-Noise) of your Simolio unit.

Usually we suggest to fix the VOL.1 to a sufficient level, and adjust VOL.2 to control TV's volume.

If the audio output signal is too weak, it will cause the following problems:

1. no sound from the speaker
2. the sound of the speaker cuts in and out
3. the speaker automatically shuts off every few minutes

If you don't have the space or want a soundbar with a separate subwoofer I strongly suggest you go to Walmart and get the 36" vizio soundbar they have with its own twin built in 3 1/2" subw oofers for 98 dollars. It sounds amazing with excellent bass, rich clear vocals, and detailed highs. It also has virtual surround sound. It cool looking and sounds much better than this one. Another reviewer said it compared to his 400 dollar sonos beam soundbar. Yamaha also makes a similar excellent soundbar for 150 to 200 dollars.

Multiple Audio Out Ports Supports

Compatible with most TVs on the market, the SIMOLIO SM-621D supports Optical, RCA and 3.5 mm / AUX audio outputs. For Optical connection, make sure the audio format of your TV/TV related AV device must be set to “PCM”.

For RCA connection, make sure the RCA ports are labeled as ”AUDIO OUT/OUTPUT/AV OUT”.

For 3.5mm/AUX connection, it’s better to try it with a wired headphone to see whether it will disable your TV internal speakers. For TVs with only Optical audio out and occupied by a sound bar, you will need to purchase an optical splitter for installation.

For TVs with only Coaxial output, you will need to purchase a Digital to Analog Audio Converter for installation.

1 -- Be sure to point the remote at the right side of the speaker, as that is where the IR sensor is located, particularly if you are very close to the speaker. after about 6 feet (2 meters) it seems to care much less. It does do well with “off-axis” almost to 180 degrees, which is quite good since the sensor is behind the fabric.

2 -- Using the Remote “Power off” doesn’t really power it down all the way, but leaves a red LED on. Granted, it’s not a lot of drain on the battery, but it’s not off until you rotate the volume/power knob fully counterclockwise to the click.

Answer:	I have not problem with food sticking to the pan, but my pan has been seasoned. It is very easy to cook with these pans. If you can follow the directions on how to use these pans, you should have not problems.

Answer:	I think it has a NiCad type battery that usually does not need to be replaced-just charge in the handy unit that comes with it.you probably can replace the battery thru manufacturer if ever needed .i just charge mine with no problems.I highly recommend if you have any hearing problems with TV as I do.

Answer:	The BT-100 is bluetooth enabled the new BT-200 is not, but claims to have better sound.
Question:	When this speaker base is plugged into the TV does it mute the sound from the TV. Can you hear both sound from the TV and from the speaker
Answer:	When this is plugged into the TV, the only way to mute the sound is to turn the dial down all the way on the unit (your remote for the TV no longer controls the sound). However, if you purchase and add the Serene Innovations Digital Audio Connector (like I did), you can use both this unit and the TV volume (through your TV remote) simultaneously. So then you can have the speaker next to unit at a certain volume but you can also use/adjust the volume on the TV speakers. I like this dual option. Hope that helps answer your question.
