Question:	Can this be used as a web server? As a web developer that would be a plus. Also does it have virtualization
Answer:	Yes, it has a web server which can be used to serve content. The box is powered by Linux, so you have a lot of options. If you are talking virtual domains (websites), you can install Apache or NGINX. Hosting virtual machines, however, is not what this is designed to do. I'd keep the load on the NAS focused on network storage and backup in order to make the best use of the available resources. If you are talking about hosting websites externally, there are better options that aren't expensive including Amazon Web Services and DigitalOcean. Web sites are targets for intruders and I'd much prefer having that happen on externally managed sites than my personal network.
Question:	Does this ship diskless or with 6TB pre-installed? The labeling on the page seems to hint both ways, though the price is most likely diskless
Answer:	It's diskless. The 6tb refers to the maximum size per hard drive the firmware or OS will support. Most similar products WITH hard drives installed start at or north of $500.

Answer:	It reformats it to its own system. So you'll have a blank drive. But once it's setup it works fine with Mac. That's what I'm using.

Answer:	You can give it a host name and shares can be browsed by typing \\hostname as long as the name is resolved. You can also map the shares to drive letters. I believe you can set up security on the shares, but not sure the security side could use integrated windows security.

Answer:	The description still says 3 Tb but with a firmware update to 4.60 you will be able to use all 4Tb of your drives as mirror or 8Tb as JBOD. I have a 4Tb mirror in mine and it shows 3667.09 Gb available. These are dependable little boxes, I am very happy I went with Zyxel. Get under the hood and you see they offer a lot of features.

Question:	Will it work if I install it on the wall instead of ceiling
Answer:	Yes.
Question:	Does this system require 120v for the wifi hub as well as cat5/6? building a 2500 sq ft new house and plan to locate it mid-house ceiling
Answer:	It's best used with POE (Power Over Ethernet). There are switches available that provide POE as well as POE injectors. Switches are a better choice as they pretty much always allow Gigabit Ethernet where POE injectors usually only allow 100Mbps for some reason (at least in my experience). I've been very successful with that AP but have also used the ZyXel wireless management device. You may be able to use their on-line service to manage the APs as well.
