This is a highly integrated round-shaped all-in-one capacitive fingerprint sensor module, which is nearly as small as a nail plate. The module is controlled via UART commands, fairly easy to use. It's advantages includes 360° omni-directional verification, fast verification, high stability, and low power consumption, etc.

Based on a high performance Cortex processor, combined with high-security commercial fingerprinting algorithm, the UART Fingerprint Sensor (C) features functionalities like fingerprint enrolling, image acquisition, feature finding, template generating and storing, fingerprint matching, and so on. Attention: There are basically two requirements for using the optical fingerprint sensor.

First is you'll need to enroll fingerprints - that means assigning ID #'s to each print so you can query them later. Once you've enrolled all your prints, you can easily 'search' the sensor, asking it to identify which ID (if any) is currently being photographed.

You can enroll by using the windows software (easiest and neat because it shows you the photograph of the print) or with the sketch (good for when you don't have a windows machine handy or for on-the-road enrolling)

1.Start from "Settings"=>"Accounts"

2."Sign-in Options", Fingerprint "Setup"

3.Need PIN code first; if no PIN code yet, Windows Hello will guide you to setup

4.Enroll and Register your fingerprint around 10~12 enrollments(touch, lift), Try to touch your finger by different area,not always touch by same finger area.

Answer:	this is a usb device unless your monitor also acts as a usb hub it will not work. i have a usb hub clamped to my monitor that i plug it in to. some monitors have a usb hub built in. they would work.
Question:	Where to find the Drive for windows
Answer:	I have not tried it but I think it will. I love it for my computer because I don't have to remember passwords anymore. I used a short 18" usb extension cord so the fingerprint reader reaches the top of the desk. Depending on where your computer is mounted, you might need a longer one or maybe none for a laptop.

Answer:	It is a fingerprint scanner. It scans your fingerprints then sends the data to a PC to check for security authorization for access. They are popular among law enforcement for comparing scanned prints to known criminals.

Answer:	This unit is unsupported hardware only. There is no software or support provided. Additionally this unit only works on Windows XP - Windows 7. It will not function under Windows 8 and is incompatible with Windows 10.
