Answer:	This heater does have a timer but it cannot be set to come on at a designated time of day. The timer has set numbers 0 through 8 with 0 meaning no set running time and the heater will run continuously, and numbers 1-8 meaning the number of hours that the heater will run before it automatically stops.

Answer:	Hello, the LuxHeat heating system is UL approved for floor heating only, I wouldn't recommend it for a counter top. There are other self-regulating heat-tape options that would be better suited for that application.
