Answer:	I can't compare it, but I can say it's a 5-Star item. I'm the 'IT Committee' chairperson at the Brookfield Vol. Fire Co., in CT. We recently purchased two laptops for our line officers and the case I chose was the one in question. It's just right! Not overly large, fairly light, tough, has the right configuration and number of compartments and pockets. Basically it's clean, simple and does the job. We like them.
Question:	What are the inside measurements of this case ? I need a minimum of 16 x 11.25 inches inside the case
Answer:	Mine just arrived. The EXTERNAL dimensions are 16.25" x 11.13" x 2.5" thick. I don't know who is measuring this, but I checked carefully with two tape measures. My 16" diagonal screen Toshiba Satellite laptop which is 15" wide and 1.5 thick barely fits. It is difficult to get it in and out of the case and you need an extra hand to remove it to hold the zipper open so it will come out, otherwise it hangs up on the ends. I would say if your laptop is more than about 14.5" wide, get something else. I'm returning this one.

Question:	Would this work for packing both laptop, a notebook, headphones, and gym clothes with shoes? Or would it be too small
Answer:	Laptop and change of clothes should work just fine as an overnight bag. That was one of the reasons I bought this backpack. Center pocket is large and has a bottom that folds out to make more room. You can place the bulky clothing items at the bottom (pants, jacket, etc) and the others towards the top. It is perfect if you roll your clothes up before storing in the bag. The bottom of the center pocket is large enough to accommodate a pair of shoes neatly arranged side by side. I don't want to oversell this bag, but it is amazing how much it can hold! I travel overnight with the military and I can fit my boots and a pair of ACUs in the center pocket so I can travel in civilian clothes. I do roll my ACUs before inserting into the bag. The laptop pocket has easy access so you can easily take out the laptop for TSA inspection.
Question:	Does it have a dedicated pocket for tablet
Answer:	yes, I have an HP envy dv7 and it has plenty of room. My husband's 17" Alienware also fits and that is a thick and heavy laptop much bigger than mine even tho they are same screen size. I tried the 16" version of this backpack in store with my laptop and it also fit in that one but was hard to zip due to tight fit, so I ordered this one online.
Question:	Does it come with a USB port
Answer:	Water will enter through the zippers. Learned that yesterday. Once I park my car at work, I still have to walk about 250 yards to enter in the building. Yesterday, I made the walk in middle of a heavy rain (1" in 90 mins). Papers were wet at the top and in general the contents had a damp feeling. More importantly, the entire inside shell of the bag was fairly wet, the straps had started to absorb water. The bag needed to be aired out and left to dry. Considering how hard it was raining and the time exposed, I'm satisfied and now know that my lap is at risk in heavy rain - which I don't get much of.
Question:	Does a sunglasses case fit in top zipper
Answer:	You bet Nicole, I fly on a weekly basis and this backpack fits under all airline seat spaces I have flown since I purchased it (Airbus 300 series, Boeing 747, and even Prop Dash-8's). It may stick out an inch or two under some model of seat, but its never a hindrance and always has passed the Flight Attendant walk-by inspection of foot space.

Question:	Does any the retractible handle have several height positions? I see below that fully extended is 20.5inches. What would the shortest extension be
Answer:	I haven't tried it out on a long pull anywhere yet, but the handle does have a shorter position that feels like it will "lock" in place. My measurements are: 37 inches from floor to bottom of t-handle when fully extended and 27 inches from floor to bottom of t-handle in shorter locked position. I hope that helps your decision making.

Answer:	I have been able to fit this under the seat on SW flights (737), Frontier (Airbus) and United (757 but not in the aisle seat and Embraer regional jet). Hope this helps.

Answer:	Very much. My bag went through a rainstorm and all the utilities inside were dry. Just need to remember to place the zippers to one side, because the little gap when the zippers connect are prone to allowing water in, and if they are to the side of the bag, that lessens the chance of water inside greatly.

I sent it back. Also, the “instructions” are the most poorly written and incomprehensible ones I have ever encountered.

Answer:	Yes, it will work fine as a stand for a cookbook or to hold books for reading. It's not great for working on because it's not a "strong" or stable (non-vibrating) surface, but for reading, it's fine.

Answer:	Hi...yes, but it may depend on the size of your sunglasses case. Some of the hard cases can be pretty big. The very top zipper pocket is fairly small...I normally use it for my iPod and headphones, etc. Glasses certainly fit by themselves or in a soft case and some others will fit. If your case is a bit too large for the very top zipper pouch, just the one just below it...it is another pouch that is a bit larger and would easily accommodate larger cases. Between those two pockets, you should be in great shape and have easy access. I really like this backpack...as a business case, it is perfect for my preferences...it stands up on its own (flat bottom), is roomy, has enough pockets and seems to be high quality!

Answer:	This is one of the shallowest computer backpacks that I have ever owned. That is not a bad thing! There is definitely room for it to slide under without any issue. Of course you're probably more interested in length, and here too I'd say it's about normal to a little shorter than normal. I haven't had any issue shoving it under an airplane seat while still allowing others to get past it (I sit in the aisle by choice.) . It really is hands-down one of the best bags I've ever used. Adjustable chest strap (both length and vertical position), luggage strap on back to sit on your rolling suitcase, tablet pocket big enough to hold the iPad Pro 12'9" and both a small top *and* bottom zippered pocket, perfect for airpods and badges up top, and 5-hour energy and advil in the bottom one. Dual pockets on the side with tie-down straps also make holding water bottles or umbrellas a piece of cake. There's even a keyring hook on the inside. You really will love this bag!!

Question:	Do the zippers meet in such a way that I can use a small padlock to secure the contents
Answer:	It does has a zipper that you can lock with a small padlock, however the zipper on the back won't do that and there still access from the back pocket to the main one, so it's not really working well.

Answer:	I’m a pilot and have been using it under seats for 2 years. It’ll fit.
Question:	Is this bag large enough to hold textbooks and notebooks for school
Answer:	Yes it should hold textbooks and notebooks in addition to your computer. I actually cut out the black inner lining that separated the two zippered compartments. This allows me to fit my purse (it's a large purse) , computer (15 inch), a thick spiral notebook, papers for work and high heels all at he same time. I take the train to work, roll it all over and to the bottom/wheels are sturdy enough to handle all of the weight without dragging! This is by far the best investment I have made this year!
Question:	Is the Targus metro roller case water resistant
Answer:	There is a major design flaw with this case: The compartment for the extensible handle opens directly into the rest of the case. Thus, if you have the handle extended, it forms a funnel on the top of the bad that lets water into the bag. With that said, the bag is relatively waterproof if you keep it completely zipped up and carry it instead of rolling it (which is awkward, and defeats the point of having a roller bag).
