Quick Start with 3 steps

1. Hold the binoculars with both hands and looking at a distant object.

Carefully and slowly move the binocular tubes downward or upward Until left and right fields are correctly aligned.

You'll See them are forming an oval circle in your sight.

2. It's now focused on your left eye and you will have to close your right eye. Look at an object through the left eyepiece with your left eye.

Rotate focusing ring until your left eye sees a sharp image of it.

3. It's now close to your left eye. Looking through the right eye and right eyepiece of the binoculars, adjust the diopter to focus the image of the object.

Rotate the diopter to get the final image.

Question:	These don't appear to come with a case. Do they
Answer:	The packaging is labeled as "Made In China"
Question:	Is there latex in this product? Grandson has a severe latex allergy
Answer:	Yes. But the strap -- at least with my pair -- was not ver secure. It was a narrow woven flat strap with a habit of slipping (from the attachment points on the binoculars). I replaced with a spare camera strap and have been much happier. I likely could have "fixed" the original strap by changing the slide buckle or "roughing" the strap ends with sandpaper (sandpaper the end three or four inches to make it a rougher surface and less prone to slip) but the wider camera strap is more comfortable as well as more secure. I have not seen this as a general problem reported by others so it could have been just my strap/binocular pairing.

Answer:	I got the binoculars for my grandson at 8 and he still uses them at 9 years old. They set him off from the "play" binoculars I got for his younger sisters and everyone wants to use his. They don't have the magnification of an adult's, but much lighter and less unwieldy.

Answer:	I can only say that I purchased these binoculars for my 9 year old great-granddaughter and she loves them. Her 5 year old sister liked them so much that I bought a pair for her. She also loves them. I really don't know actual age range but I do know they work well for 5 yo & 9 yo.

Answer:	I çould not find any labelling for the materials. I have a latex allergy and haven't had any issues. They do seem well built.
Question:	How do I connect to a binoculars? I have tried without much success
Answer:	Thank you for your question and your consideration of our binoculars. Yes, you can use them. Some of our customers however, find they do not need their glasses while looking through the binoculars lenses. They can however be used with glasses.
Question:	Will this fit an iphone 6 and iphone 7 and 7 plus? will it fit those phones with a medium-thick protective case on them
Answer:	I don’t know the manufacturer’s stated IPD range and can’t find it listed. On the narrow end, it works fine for me with 61mm IPD but there isn’t much adjustment to decrease it further. If the lens covers are removed, that allows a tad more adjustment since they interfere with fully closing the binocular. Just from measuring the lenses I’d guess around 60mm-72mm is the range but you’d be better off asking Meade if near the edges of these values.

Mount the adapter on the scope. Screw top knob into the end. Align the half hole on the shield and the center of the eyepiece by sliding down the shield.

Step 2

Align the center of the camera and the centre of the half hole on the shield. Tighten the phone.

Step 3

Open your camera. Slowly insert the adapter. Tighten the eyepiece clamp when the image is sharp.

Question:	Exactly how many mm of eye relief do they have
Answer:	It worked well for me on Binoculars mounted on a short tripod. It takes a bit of fiddling to get everything focused and sighted in as the field of view is limited to the field of view of your binoculars. I used this setup on a Prairie Dog hunt so there was plenty of time to set it up. I hope this info helps.
Question:	Are the lenses fog proof
Answer:	I've connected it with my Bushnell Excursion binoculars and it worked great. The key is to get the phone right up against the eyepiece. It took a little trial and error to get everything lined up properly, but once I got the hang of it, it's now very easy to set up.

Answer:	I use this with my iPhone 6s with otterbox case and it works well. I haven't tried but it should fit my wife's 6 plus as well. So I would think the 7 and 7 plus should fit as well.

Question:	can this scope be used as a spotting scope for bird watching
Answer:	Excellent for bird-watching. At 20x, it's fine. At 40x (long distance) you may want a strudier tripod, and because it's daylight, you can look through the smaller 42mm hole (take off the little cap) in the dust cap and that will improve the sharpness at high power. If you want a better spotting scope, simply buy a fancy wide-angle/high-performance 1.25 eyepiece (super-plossl, etc), around 15 mm focal length.
Question:	You say that any tripod that I use for photography should work. Does that mean that I can screw my tripod head into the telescope
Answer:	Yes. As others have said, the tripod that comes with the telescope is reallllly flimsy. There are a couple of screw holes on the bottom of the telescope. I was able to attache the telescope to my other tripod using the detachable head on the tripod.
Question:	I'm a real beginner/plan to purchase this for my son so we can both explore the night sky, etc. Is it really easy to setup?/How long will it take
Answer:	The scope is really good for beginners and it is easy to set up. As others have said the the included tripod is small for portability and not very stable. If used fully "retracted" on the hood of a car for example, it's OK. I've used it with a Celestron 7.5MM eyepiece and a 2x barlow lens and it can still resolve the rings of Saturn on a clear night. It's not designed for that kind of magnification but for an inexpensive scope with simple lenses I was impressed. I wouldn't recommend trying that though until you have some practice on focus, finding objects in the sky, and purchasing a heavy duty camera tripod. You must remember even with the highest power eyepieces, which you only want to consider using for viewing planets, objects are really small which is due to it's 400mm focal length. Overall it's WAY better than spending 40-50 dollars on a cheap toy at the local discount store. Another good option comparable to this is the Orion 76mm Fun Scope. It's really only for table top use but it's easy to swivel up/down left/right. It is a reflector though and images don't appear as crisp in my opinion. You'll find out that half the quality of a telescope is how good the tripod or mounting set up is. For the price you can't go wrong with this scope. I own several telescopes from computer driven to large reflectors and still grab this for quick views of Orions belt, Jupiter, Saturn, the Moon, and star clusters like the double cluster and the Pleiades. Just to add to an already long answer, I added an inexpensive laser object finder (similar to the Celestron Star Finder) instead of the mostly useless viewfinder. It makes it ten times easier to point the scope at objects you're trying to look at and it doesn't take much modifications to get it screwed to the scope tube or stuck on with foam tape. Your son will thank you!

Answer:	Only if you look at objects on the left....use right eye for objects on the right side....if its straight above you , you can use both eyes.
