Answer:	It should work with Windows 8 though I only used with Windows 10. If you insert a DVD and a video player does not start up, you may need a player that will recognize the drive. On a recommendation from a friend, I installed "VLC media player" and this app opens when I insert a DVD into the Riodadas player. VLC is a free and open source media player that works with all Windows versions. You can get the player here: https://www.videolan.org/vlc/

On Sierra, I tested it against USB-c, which is the smaller port found on newer (2017 and forward) Macbook Pros. I used a USB-c to USB-a adapter to do so. It worked fine.

Answer:	Absolutely. It comes with a selection of various sizes and shapes of greeting cards plus you can make up your own. I usually start with a predesigned card and then make modifications to suit myself.

Answer:	Great question and most important when designing 'easy to read' documents and posters. The short answer is yes. The long answer is, "yes, but..." For horizontal kerning, click the top menu item "format" and select "Kern." That does space things out. Here's another way to do that: To horizontally kern, you select the top menu item "format" and then "character" and then "spacing." Under "spacing" you should NOT select "width," but instead the actual spacing on the spacing menu. Sorry, that sounds silly, but it is what it is. That will keep the size (point size) of the letters the same and just increase the space between them.For changing the space between lines, it's a bit more complicated. Complicated for me since (at work, Adobe CC makes it much easier). Again, at the top menu bar, select "Format" and then "Paragraph." From the left-side menu (looks like the Windows Explorer menu) select "alignment and spacing" option when you scroll down to the "Paragraph" options. Halfway down the menu, you'll see a "Line Spacing" button. Click it, and from the drop down menu select, "pointsize %". My Lenovo laptop recognized it as a data storage device, but did not have a "Play, Record, etc. " utility. I tried several "FREE" drivers from the MicroSoft Store. All required a subscription after a 7-day trial. Clued by another reviewer, I Googled what I needed. I found a totally acceptable truly free media player from British vendor "VLC". Works great here in US, better than the old "Media Player" that no longer comes bundled with Windows.

The disc goes in, then it makes all these grinding sounds and then-nothing. It stops. Before I throw it in the trash-any suggestions?

Almost all older operating systems contain an internal driver program that can recognize the CD drive directly without installation. Please make sure that your computer has the internal driver program. If you don't have one yet, please feel free to contact us. We can send you a link to download a driver.
