I suppose the pointed end could support the center of a teepee but that is probably not what it is designed to do.

Answer:	Originally I had the APL which went bad after about 18 months. I replaced it with the APL-3. The APL-3 required a complete rewiring of the circuit. If you are replacing and APL-3 with another APL-3 then you should be able to replace from the camera up to the first junction (part of the included wiring).
Question:	Will the rear view camera be affected during rainy days and flushing
