Answer:	Other things being equal, yes. The "ah" refers to the amount of battery energy available if there is no recharging from your home power circuit. Similar to cell phone batteries, (in their case mah) more is better if you need it when you can't re-charge.

Answer:	This will depend on how many cameras you set up and how each is set to record. You also have the control to not over write or save to an external hard drive. It also has a program that estimates the length of record time based on the way you format each camera to record. I currently have 4 cameras set to the highest quality of recording 24/7 and it estimates approximately 20 days before it overwrites. I have a 2T hard drive in mine.
