Answer:	I don’t have that color but I do have it in khaki and I believe that it is canvas given how it easily attracts dirt and the threads are pretty visible.

Answer:	I wear a 38" and the standard is what I ordered. I cut it to length and am very satisfied. I don't remember what the standard length is but I had plenty of trim off. The details of the belt say's up to 40" so a 34" waist should be fine. Just follow the instructions on trimming and you should be fine.

Answer:	The answer depends on how much "tail" you want on the slack side of the buckle. I don't like very much tail so prefer the shorter belt. Keep in mind that these belts don't have holes so work much like a strap. The entire length of the belt can be pulled through the buckle and secured.

Answer:	I hadn't thought about it. It's not paint. It looks to me to be powder coating, a process that basically bakes on a thick coating of tough plastic. If I am right it will be very hard to scratch but over a long time it might eventually show wear. I haven't had mine long enough to show the slightest wear but if you have only one belt and wear it daily eventually you might. If you work in a job where your belt buckle contacts another surface frequently (workbench, carrying boxes) it might show wear. But in ordinary use they should stay a nice matte black for a long time.

Answer:	Cut the belt to fit. Unclasp the belt from the buckle (the side without the metal on the end) cut of less than the extra length when you have the belt on. Lets say there is 12 inches left over with the belt is closed, disconnect and cut off about 8 inches from the other end. Then put it back together. You will need scissors, knife or screwdriver and perhaps pliers. There is a tab on the buckle when you first get it, that is the end to open up and cut on. Leave a few extra inches for overlap and size fluctuation. had mine a couple of weeks now and I am very happy. Good luck
