2 best flash speedlight for cameras dslrs
Here's what you need to know about flash speedlights:
**1. Shoe Mount Flashes: A flash speedlight is designed to be mounted on the hot shoe of a DSLR camera. The hot shoe is a standardized mounting point on the top of the camera body where the flash can be attached securely.
**2. Enhanced Lighting: Flash speedlights provide additional artificial light, which is crucial in low-light conditions or when the existing light source is not sufficient. They enhance the quality of photographs by providing adequate illumination, reducing shadows, and improving overall exposure.
**3. TTL (Through-the-Lens) Metering: Many modern flash speedlights feature TTL metering, which means the flash output is automatically adjusted based on the camera's metering system. This ensures proper exposure for different scenes without the need for manual adjustments.
**4. Swivel and Tilt: Flash speedlights often have swivel and tilt capabilities. Swiveling refers to the ability to turn the flash head horizontally, allowing you to bounce the light off walls or ceilings for a softer and more diffused effect. Tilting refers to the vertical movement of the flash head, enabling you to control the direction of the light for more creative lighting setups.
**5. Power and Recycle Time: Flash speedlights vary in terms of power output. Higher-powered flashes can illuminate larger spaces or subjects located at a distance. Recycle time refers to the duration it takes for the flash to recharge after firing. Shorter recycle times allow for faster consecutive shots.
**6. Sync Options: Flash speedlights can be synchronized with the camera's shutter, allowing the flash to fire at the precise moment the picture is taken. This synchronization ensures that the flash illuminates the scene correctly and avoids issues like overexposed or underexposed images.
**7. Diffusers and Modifiers: Flash speedlights can be used with various diffusers and modifiers to soften the light and create different lighting effects. Diffusers, grids, gels, and softboxes are among the accessories that can be attached to flash speedlights for creative lighting control.
**8. Wireless Capabilities: Many flash speedlights come with built-in wireless capabilities, allowing them to be used off-camera. This wireless functionality enables advanced lighting setups, such as multiple flashes positioned at different angles for professional studio or portrait photography.
In summary, flash speedlights are essential tools for photographers, providing versatile lighting solutions for a wide range of situations. Their ability to enhance lighting, TTL metering, swivel and tilt capabilities, power options, and compatibility with various modifiers make them valuable additions to any photographer's toolkit.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is there a way to power this via a DC wall adtpater instead of batteries |
Answer: | There is a side plug for power but the power cord is not included. |
Question: | Will this work on a Canon T6i |
Answer: | Yes. It doesn't work with some T7 because some early T7 didn't have the center pin in the hotshoe. T6 and newer T7 with the center pin will work |
Question: | Why does it turn my pictures white on my sony a |
Answer: | The Sony A7 has an advertised flash sync speed of 1/250 of a second. I don't own one but I've seen posts suggesting that some folks struggle to get it above 1/60th of a second. So when you use your flash, your camera may be forcing the shutter speed down to the maximum flash sync speed (1/250th or 1/60th of a second) WITHOUT OTHERWISE ADJUSTING YOUR EXPOSURE. So, say you're shooting outside on an overcast day and you want to use a fill flash. Without a flash maybe you'd be shooting at 1/1000th of a second or faster. With the flash you'd expect to shoot FASTER but, because of the slower flash sync, you're shooting slower. That slower speed means more light and that gives you a white image. To compensate, either use a filter to dim the entire scene or look into a camera with a faster flash sync speed. Unfortunately, faster is more expensive. |
Question: | Can this flash be fired by the Canon 60D internal flash control off camera |
Answer: | Yes. The 60D uses the Canon E-TTL flash system which fires a pre-flash to test exposure. You can set the TT560 to ignore this pre-flash. You won't get flash metering control via the camera, but it can trigger these flashes off camera. However, my own testing shows this flash only outputs 40% of the claimed power, so be aware of that issue as well. |
