Answer:	Yes, the Coolpix A1000 has a full auto setting that adjusts the exposure (Shutter speed / f-stop aperture) based on computer weighted / through lens metering for a broad range of lighting conditions. When coupled with the full auto focus feature, it makes the camera highly capable in 'full auto' operation. Additional automatic settings can be selected to provide programed, aperture and shutter priority, and manual exposure methods as well as adjustable auto focus settings supporting broad versatility in a small and light weight camera. A built in flash provides integrated automatic illumination for low light and indoors photos when necessary. I frequently shoot in auto mode and get excellent results.
Question:	does it come with a strap
Answer:	This camera comes with a wrist strap only. However, it does have attaching points on which to attach a neck strap. If sa neck strap is used you cannot attach a neck strap.

Answer:	Actually I have a 64 gb and a 32 gb card which handles all of my needs. What you use for storage is up to your end plans to store on a hard drive or a cloud service and keep the camera keeping a light file load for convenience.

Question:	Can i connect this camera to my computer with a usb
Answer:	I have just purchased two of these (Elph 180). The first thing I noticed is that Canon has not improved the access door (battery/ sd card slot) in the many years since I had my first point& shoot Canon. (I have a canon rebel too - different story) The reason I am telling you this is that I urge you to buy a cable to download your shots, and clear the SD card from your camera. Every time you open and shut this little door, the weaker it becomes. Eventually you will be forced to tape the door shut to use the camera. I did this for years because I loved the camera. Finally I just got tired of it and bought the rebel. If the only time you have to open the door is to charge the battery, you will extend the usable life of the door HUGELY. As with most technology today, it's longevity depends on its weakest point. One of the two I purchased is for a 12 yr. old - I bought cables for both of us. My opinion: It's worth it because Canon still makes the best lenses.
Question:	Does this have an automatic shutoff If I forget to turn it off
Answer:	I don`t think so. But you`ll know if it`s on. When it`s on, the lens moves way out. When it`s off, it retracts, so the camera is flat. It would be very hard to forget to turn the camera off, or forget you left it on.
Question:	Do you have to remove the battery from the camera in order to charge it
Answer:	Does this camera come with a charger? It says it comes with a rechargeable battery but it isn’t saying anything about a charger. And from looking at other people’s comments I’m thinking it doesn’t come with a charger. So if not then what are you suppose to do cause it’s not regular batteries it’s the rectangle flat battery
Question:	I notice the usb cable has to be purchased separately. does this camera require any special type of usb cable

Photos turned out great! There are newer versions now to the G7X. I've been happy with mine-worth the money.

Answer:	I believe this product is great, especially for its price point. There are 2 things it's not: 1) A high end professional scanner for Pro photographers. 2) A high volume machine - you have to scan each slide/negative then upload it to your computer, do some editing/clean up. But if you have some highly desirable film you want to upload to fb and don't mind doing some work - this will do the job. Otherwise send you film to a service and let them do it.

Question:	does the view screen rotate
Answer:	I don't worry about the camera body itself - but I do worry if I'm using a non-weather sealed lens about the lens itself. I've shot in sleet/snow/driving rain for football games, and I've been to some brutal ones with my KP and my Tamron 70-200 f/2.8. The combination was wonderful, though I did purchase an Altura rain hood, which worked fantastic, though I cut hole in the back so I could see the viewfinder better through the vinyl window. I didn't need the weather sealing there since it was a) up to my eye most of the time and (b) the lens was covered, it was just the back with the viewfinder and the LCD screen that was exposed. (it worked great by the way... and I got some fantastic shots at that game too, during a goal line stand, friday night high school football. It was great. That said, I've been out with the KP and my 55mm f/1.4 in the rain doing shots around my city - but I've preferred still to keep something with me to keep water from directly hitting it. I've even used the sleeve of an old fleece sweatshirt that seems to repel water for long enough to get shots I want, then pull it off. Works out well, and less for me to dry after. After all, I don't want water drops on the front of the lens (hard to fix those in post for night shots..) and all that.

Fingerprints on the lens are a given. Therefore, for a 4-year-old, they work under supervision only.

Answer:	I just bought the RP, love it. Yes, you can use Canon EF-S lenses with one of the 3 optional EF adapters. But note that EF-S lenses are made for smaller APS-C sized sensors (the RP is a full-frame 24x36mm sensor) so it will give you only 10.1 mp images with EF-S lenses. Why: it just crops out the unused area around your EF-S APS-C-sized images. For some native Canon lenses, it will choose this smaller 10.1mp crop size automatically. For non-Canon lenses, you can choose "1.6x crop." I tested this with two of my old Sigma APS-C lenses (ancient c. 2009 10-20mm and 18-200mm zooms) and autofocus and image stabilization do work great with the RP. if you want 24mp images with your old lenses, keep your 6ti (a great lightweight backup camera). Answer:	Yes. All video is cropped to some extent because it is in a different aspect ratio. In addition, the 4K doesn't use the full width of the sensor. This is really more of a camera for stills shooters. The video is more of an extra feature.
Question:	Is this the best 4K camera for now? Also, why is it cheap
Answer:	I just got the RP and Dennis explains the EF-S limitations perfectly. Two notes to add: 1) The result of this cropping is that your image size with EF-S (APS-C) lenses will be only ~10.1 megapixels (less than a modern smartphone camera or the old 2003 Canon 10D!). 2) With my old 2009 Sigma "DC" mount lenses (Sigma's designation for EF-S/APS-C compatible lenses), the RP will not automatically choose "1.6x crop," so I have to do it manually (it's an option in the "image format/aspect-ratio" menu). Otherwise, I do get the black vignetting around the image.

Question:	Is this mountable to tripod? Or a mount adaptor is needed
Answer:	It can with everything but a case. I ordered it separate for around 6 or 8 dollars.

Answer:	I mostly shoot in auto and f:4 is the widest I’ve viewed. In manual mode f:8 is the widest.
