To go beyond their rating could create a risk to some very expensive equipment and not sure you would want to take that risk. Although the lug rings are a single strand of steel that has been folded into a double loop, it remains a single strand and like a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link or segment.

Answer:	You have to use the plate that comes with the clip. Using another manufacturer's plate on this clip will not work. The plate that comes with this clip will fit most Arca Swiss compatible heads. Just keep in mind that this plate is shallow compared to the Manfrotto plates, so be careful when camping onto a tripod head.

I use this strap for my sony A7R and It looks very nice and very comfortable. The best strap I have ever used so far!

Answer:	I have 1/2" wide by 1/8" high. (inside measurements).

Answer:	Yes, Until they do break off. Personally, I do not trust these things on my dslr. What was supposed to be cord with 1.5 mm diameter turned out to be only 1 mm diameter. Answer:	I think you are asking how much weight it can handle? Peak Design web site says the Anchor Link System is rated to 200+ pounds. Obviously you wouldn't lift that much weight. I have a Nikon 200-500mm lens that weights 5 pounds and 2 pounds for the camera, for a total of 7 pounds. The strap feels comfortable with that camera + lens weight.

Answer:	The female part (top photo) is 1.5 inches long, 1 inch wide and 3/8" thick. The leather piece with cord loop adds another 2.5 inches to the overall length so the total lenght is about 4 inches when not in use. The male part (lower photo) is 1.25 inches long and the leather piece with cord loop adds another 2.5 inches...same as the female part; the total length is about the same as the female one. This set allows you to convert just about any other Op/Tech strap to one that can connect to a loop or ring on your camera, binoculars, etc. I use one set as a quick release attachment for my small camera case so I can connect it to my pants belt loop and then have my hands free to operate my camera. It should work with your binocular harness too if you want to use the harness with a second camera, etc.
