Answer:	yes you need at least 8 inches if I remember correctly, unless the vent outlet is on the very bottom of your Viking
Question:	It's not clear if this product includes a blower or not. Does it come with a blower or do I have to purchase that separately
Answer:	This is just the range hood (despite the product description). You'll need to purchase the blower separately. We bought the Broan HLB11 1100 CFM In-line Blower and love it. We used a HVAC installer to mount the blower in our crawl space under the house.
Question:	If I buy a remote blower for under the house, how much depth is required for just the vent? i.e., how close to the vent can my slide-in range go
Answer:	FYI - this vent is not designed to be used with a slide in oven/range, it's designed to be used with a cooktop and would be mounted tight against the cooktop. Having said that, I did use it with a slide in range and needed 2 1/4" clearance between the back of the range and the vent. This could vary slightly depending on the shape of the back of the range you're using.

Answer:	If you have a cooktop in front of it, it will drop into that cutout, and typically slide back two inches. Make sure there is this 2” clearance under your cabinet, to the rear wall of the lower space.

Answer:	We do not show that you need any other part but you can purchase a cover for the top part of the range. You may also go to the manufacture website to verify if there are any other piece that you may need.

Answer:	I believe a template is included to assist with the install, however, the final dimensions of my cutout measures 33" x 2 7/8".
