Answer:	I can confirm that this remote works with the nvidia shield as of update 7.2.1. When pairing, you will need the nvidia or other remote to select the remote and tell it to pair. The amazon remote comes up as "AR" on the bluetooth pariing screen. Volume controls also work!!

Answer:	I have the 2nd gen Fire TV stick and bought this generation remote to get the TV power and volume controls. My remote did sow up with instructions on a narrow folded booklet. I followed the "if this remote is in addition to the remote that came originally", and the setup routine provided step-by-step instructions to pair the new remote with both the Fire stick and my Samsung TV. Basics were to use old remote to go to "Settings" and then "controllers & Bluetooth devices", then "Amazon Fire TV Remotes", then "Add New Remote". Next you push the home button on the new remote for 10 seconds until it flashes rapidly to show it's ready to pair. You'll see the new remote listed (the only tricky part was realizing the listing of "Amazon Fire Remote" was the new one, not the old one). Select that and it'll tell you to wait for a minute, after which it asks you if you want to pair with your TV too. In my case it successfully detected my Samsung TV, asked me if this was correct, then confirmed power and volume worked. Whole thing was done in about 3-4 minutes.

Answer:	I don't know. However, I can tell you how it works between my Dell laptop and Sony TV. After hooking up the cable between my laptop and the TV I remember the HDMI port I've connected the cable. My TV has 3 HDMI ports. Next, I bring up on my laptop what I want to watch. On my TV remote I select Home, then scroll through the menu until I find Input sources. Next, I scroll through the various Input sources until I find the HDMI port where I connected the cable. Once selected whatever I have on my laptop now appears on the TV. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I have an Insignia Fire TV. The Replacement remote works perfectly with my TV. I have Direct TV as my Satellite TV and the Fire Stick and Xfinity Flex for Streaming TV. Whenever I am streaming and want to get back to Direct TV, I click on the Home button and it takes me directly to Direct TV. I have had the remote for two weeks and I am very happy with it. When I want to go to Fire TV, I click on Prime Video and have all my streaming channels there. I don't use the Xfinity Flex as much, but the process is the same. Click on the home button and go back to Direct TV. Hope this helps.

It only controls one device at a time, and only successfully passes in the command that device can "use" -- for example, the "home" key sends "go back to root option" and not "Amazon Alexa Voice Remote Home Key" so it won't work to initially set up your Amazon Firestick. But it will work as a replacement remote for a Firestick that has already been initialized for commonly used functions. This unit uses a receiver they provide that works "inline" meaning it has to be plugged into the device you are controlling. It only controls one device at a time.

Answer:	Their instructions are weak and full of typos. Try this: 1) Find the place where your Firestick's (or other device's) micro-USB power cord plugs into your Firestick (or other device). Unplug it for a moment. 2) Make sure the supplied USB receiver (small USB plug) is unplugged and set aside for a moment. 3) Plug your Firestick's (or other device's) micro-USB power cord into the supplied short cord. 4) Plug the supplied short cord into your Firestick (or other device). 5) Make sure the replacement remote has fresh batteries installed. 6) Plug supplied USB receiver (small USB plug) into the supplied short cord's USB connector. If your replacement remote was correctly paired at the factory (which they claim it is), it should now be working. Question:	I have 4 amazon fire sticks on 4 tv sets, can i use only one of these to program and operate all of them or do i need one for each firestick
Answer:	You will have to teach the remote the Channel Master DVR+ buttons although there is a device code of 03286 for this under our streamers category. If you try this let me know if the device code works.
Question:	Can you program it without the original remote
Answer:	I've used Harmony remotes, and I still have some Harmony equipment. This remote is capable of programming macros, which allows you to send multiple (32, IIRC) commands with a single button press. So you could turn all devices on with one button press, and all of them off with a different button press. How you set that up is dependent on whether your equipment has discrete on/off commands, among other things.
Question:	How does this control multiple devices? The setup video made it seem like you can only control one device
Answer:	No, it will not. The Roku Stick does not have an IR receiver. It will work with all other Roku products which do have IR receivers.
