User questions & answers
Question: | Does this plug in to a standard wall outlet or need to be hard wired to 110 at the breaker panel |
Answer: | Great Question! The end caps are removable so that you can take them out to butt the end hard up against a ceiling or whatever it be. If you were to butt the end up against a ceiling with the caps in, there is no way to ensure levelness. |
Question: | does it come with the upgrades or is that extra |
Answer: | No, this level (I have the 8' version) is not magnetic, but it is lightweight. |
Question: | What is the duty cycle |
Answer: | Usually UPS |
Question: | I want to get a 110v Mig unit. How would this be for a "Beginner" model? I am also considering Longevity Migweld 140 and Eastwood 135. Thanks |

User questions & answers
Question: | can it weld cast iron |
Answer: | The welding amperage range is 25-140 amps on 120 volts. Same output as the Handler 140 (which can ONLY operate on 120v.) The Handler 210 works good on 120 volts, and even better on 240 volts, if you have a 240 volt receptacle to use. I made an adapter cable to plug into my dryer outlet at home. Works great. |
Question: | Can this welder use the 10# spool of wire |
Answer: | its a great welder. i mainly run it on 220volts. just welded up my frame and made hardcore plate bumper. very strong. i also had to make floor pans out of 18 gauge. the original pans were probably only 22 and some spots kinda thin. it did very well. half way through i ran out of wire and had to use 0.35 flux and still performed well. the settings are fine and honestly only use three of them one for thin another for exhaust and than all the way with thick. i mainly change the wire speed. i have ran at max for probably too long many times and no problems. only tricky thing was first setting up wire tension. now it never jams. overall love it |
Question: | is it 110 or |
Answer: | The wire feed mechanism on this model used to be plastic but was updated to all metal parts a few years ago. That is what I remember reading when I was researching welders before I bought mine. I bought my unit about a year ago and it came with all metal wire feed components. I hope that is what you are asking. If not let me know exactly what you need and I'll look at my unit closer when I get home. |
Question: | Does this welder need gas or is it gasless |
Answer: | I sold and used welding equipment for 35 years. This process along with the easy settings on this machine make it the easiest to learn for someone with no experience. A simple way to learn is to follow the settings provided for the metal and thickness shown on the label. Hold the tip of the gun 1/2 inch from the metal and make a "spot" weld in one place for a few seconds without moving the gun. Watch the spot weld form and stop when it gets to a size between a pea and a dime. Let the spot cool a little until it is not red anymore. Move the tip of the gun one half the diameter of the first spot and make another one the same size. Do this over and over again until you get very good at judging the size of the spot weld and can make a series of overlapping spots of the same size. At that point you can progress to making a continuous weld. It's a lot like spray painting or running a sewing machine, learn to watch the results not the process. It's a very big help to have a welding helmet that is clear until the arc starts and then darkens so you don't have to worry about flipping down your hood and starting on the right spot at the same time. The auto darkening helmet adds to the cost of the purchase but makes it much easier to learn an use. |

User questions & answers
Question: | i`m wondering if these cables work good with a Miller Trailblazer 250G? Could anybody give me some information? Thanks, Ramon Vasquez |
Answer: | Miller makes Hobart they are almost the same machine it is usally a dolt and nut holding it on there so if your machine have a nut bolt mounting then they will work just fine |
Question: | Will these work well on a Lincoln ranger |
Answer: | The connection on the cable will be a 1/2" stud connection with nut. You will need to check the size on the welder to insure that the cables will work for you. |
Question: | Are they copper or aluminum |
Answer: | Copper. |
Question: | How effective are they on a miller bobcat |
Answer: | I'm not sure but they work just fine on my Hobart. As long as the Miller Bobcat has the same size bolt or stud to attach the leads too and you can put a washer and nut on to secure them I'm sure they will work excellent. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How long |
Answer: | The net dimensions of this nozzle are 5.5" long x 1.75" wide x 1" high. |
Question: | Why does it offer 1/2 or |
Answer: | The 5/8" nozzle is for the IronMan 250 only. See the description. |
Question: | how to take tip out of nozzel |
Answer: | Normally, of coarse, you just pull the nozzle off (might be tight), it's on a plastic slip joint, and then unscrew contact tip and replace. In the case where the nozzle and the contact tip have welded together, (happens to everyone) you have one of two choices to rectify this issue, you can grind the fused nozzle/tip until separated and then replace each or the other method for this would be to cut the welding wire inside the welder then turn fused nozzle/tip counter clockwise with a little pull while unscrewing and they will come out together along with the cut-off wire length. Remember to unplug unit while doing any of this work. |
Question: | Does the M-10/H-10 designation indicate that this will fit both Miller and Hobart guns |
Answer: | I have a Millermatic 211 and this nozzle fit perfectly. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does open box have same warranty as new product |
Answer: | It depends on the nature of the open box. The product would most likely have factory warranty remaining, however it would depend on the SN and age of the product. |
Question: | does this need the crows foot style plug in. does it come with the rods you need |
Answer: | No it is not a crows foot it is a normal plug- looks like a large 110 plug. It comes with one piece of tungsten to get you started but you will need more tungsten and filler rod |
Question: | Are you able to change out which torch you want to use or is the one it comes with permanently installed |
Answer: | The TIG torch is hard wired to the machine. |
Question: | i'm looking to buy a tig... why would i buy this hobart when i could buy a more powerful everlast that has many more features for less money |
Answer: | First of all, most of those features.... you will never use.... unless you have nothing better to do with your time. If you are an experienced tig welder you know that a big part of producing a good weld is the operators "feel". I've had the Hobart for about a year and welded everything from 3/16th aluminum for intake manifolds to .058 wall 4130 tubing for roll cages.... and everything in between..... with great results. This machine has an on-off switch and two adjustment controls.... one for AC & DC and the other for amperage. Unless you are welding the blades in jet engine turbines I don't see how this unit wouldn't be sufficient.Equally as important............ its made in the USA - BUY AMERICAN!!! |

Question: | will this fit a Millermatic |
Answer: | This accessory kit should work on a Millermatic 140 welder if the gun is a Miller M100/M10 model MIG gun. Suggest you compare the parts you are now using with the picture provided in the listing. |
Question: | Will this work on miller matic |
Answer: | This will work on the M25 and M40 mig guns. I think the 210 has a m25 style gun, but you will need to double check yours to be sure. These are decent quality pieces, we use them on a miller 252 with an M25 |
Question: | Will these fit the hobart mvp210 wire feed welder |
Answer: | Probably. We suggest you compare the pictures to the parts you are now using just to make sure. |
Question: | Will this fit my hobart handler 175? Thanks |
Answer: | Not sure which MIG gun you have but this kit contains parts for the larger 250 amp guns. There's also a similar kit for the 100 & 150 amp Miller/Hobart MIG guns. The difference is the Gas Diffuser / Tip holder are two separate parts where the smaller guns the gas diffuser/tip holder are built into one piece and the gas nozzle is smaller measuring 1 3/4" in overall length. |
