As in: Will the Sylvania operate on 5 volts DC, at half an Amp (500 ma).I used this Item on a Clock I had Built. That Clock wanted 9 VOLTS at 500 mA. I figured, "What the heck. As long as the voltage was LESS than asked for I'd give it a try ... because: it was CHEAP (so no waste there), and the AMPs were correct (so it wasn't going to over power anything).
