Answer:	It’s closed cell foam, so it would work just fine on a cot. I use one on my cot even in summer to prevent the drafty bottom. I would put the fitted sheet over the pad though because sleeping with skin directly in contact will make your skin sweat since the foam is not breathable.

For your 38H, try the 2XL, going by the by the bra cup order of D, E, F, G. Hope you like them as much as I like mine. I just ordered the 5 pack because these work so well for me.

Remember that the opening is fairly small, just the end, but that should be fine for poles. Do keep in mind that this bag is heavy canvas, so it may be inconvenient for a relatively small load.
