Answer:	So the manufacturer claims. I can tell you there is a slight odor after the device is removed, so clearly something is happening when it's in an activated box. Answer:	They are not claiming it will last to eternity. Just that if it fails, it will be under warranty. On auto, these go on for 10 minutes, so if you assume 6,000 hours, that's enough for 36,000 sanitations. Most people will never get anywhere close to that. I have this unit and it works great, but I won't get anywhere near 36,000 uses.

Only alcohol based hand sanitizers can disolve the lipid layer around the virus particle, which is what destroys it (the same happens with soap mixed with water). Therefore, only alcohol-based hand sanitizers can protect you effectively against the virus in the street. I recommend that you search the information about hand sanitizers by the CDC before buying.

Answer:	I don’t have any babies, but I use it every day and often several times a day. It is such a wonderful product because it kills 99.99%of germs but it doesn’t dry out your skin( =no alcohol!)
